Hi I hope someone could help me!

I have some concerns regarding some of the information I have found online, stating there is a limit of travelling into Thailand 2 times per calendar year, I also saw something saying about a 6 month period too. I have applied for a student visa but the school have said I have to do a border run as they are full and I cannot start until I return..

I entered Thailand on 17th October 2023

I then departed thailand on 13th December 2023

I returned to Thailand 27th December 2023

I then departed Thailand on 18th January 2024

I then entered Thailand on 8th June 2024 - 6 months after leaving

Can you just confirm that I won’t have an issue when doing the border run without a border run company and if so why would it be different with a border run company? Thank you 🙏🏼

I had always thought that the visa exemption limit of two entries per year only applied to land entry. The Thai Embassy website in Australia has this information [members only]/ which does not qualify the entry type. I am seeking advice and experience of group members for the application of visa exemption for Australian passport holders entering Thailand at Suvarnabhumi airport. I have a friend wanting to travel by air next month who has already entered Thailand twice by air this year. Thanks for any advice.

Hello. May i know how many times entry to thailand per year is permitted?

Current situation:

First entry: to Thailand on dec 21 and make extension until feb 22

Second entry: july 22 and make extrnsion until september 22

In the meantime, i had travel out Thailand via laos border and stamped 30days back in Thailand.

Last exit Thailand on 17september.

Just wondering if i can still travel to Thailand on nov 22 or i might face any question upon arrival?

Would appreciate any help 🙏🏻

Hey everyone. First time in Thailand and I have some questions about doing a border run. I came on a 30 day visa exemption and have extended it once already for 30 days.

1. Can I leave for a night or two and just keep coming back to repeat the process?

2. I’m assuming there is a limit on how many times this can be done? I’ve read where this can only be done 2x on a land border in a calendar year. No limit for flying?

3. Does it matter how long I’m in the other country for on each run? (My fiancé and I would love to visit Vietnam anyway…)

Is there a limit to the number of times I can enter and leave Thailand during a calendar year, using tourist visas and/or visa exempt?

For example, could I visit Thailand three times with 3 separate tourist visas during a year?

Hi Everyone. Thanks for the helpful info here.

Just wondering about entering on the 30 days visa exempt at airports... I came across this info in the pic regarding number of entries by air.

I've had 3 entries in the last 6 months (two for short holidays of a 1-week period each) and one business trip for 3 days.

My company's regional head office is in BKK, and I have 2 business trips planned there in the next 3 months (2 days and 1 day respectively). I was thinking of taking another short vacay (one week) again in April, so potentially 3 more entries in the next 6 months.

Do I have anything to worry about because of the 3 entry limit in 6 months, or because all my trips have been quite short, they won't make a big fuss or deny me entry?

(Australian passport)

Thanks in advance. Cheers.

Hi all! How many times can we enter in thailand by flight every years? My visa expires on 27th of this month (2 months tourist visa + extension) and I have to leave thailand on 4 nov for 1 week... is it ok a visa run to the border and then ask for another 2 months tourist visa from europe? This year I enter 1 time by land and 1 by flight, Italian passport... thank you!

After some advice pls, my situation is as follows.

Early 30's from the UK, been in thailand for just over 5 months now. I arrived on the bog standard 30 day tourist, which i then extended for another 30. For the next 3 months I did a trip to phnom penh each month a few days before visa expired.

Given the amount of stamps I got a bit nervous on the last one so i booked a dummy flight from bkk - vietnam just in case i got questioned upon my return to thailand which I did. Asked me how long I plan on staying in thailand, why the frequent ins and outs, why I didn't have a longer term visa and if I had a flight leaving thailand and what date it was etc. Now this was on the 7th of may i arrived back, so my stamp gives me up until the 5th of June.

As far as I am aware, there is no limit on the amount of trips you can do via air, in and out of Thailand can someone confirm this pls? Whereas by land you only get the 14 days for most places and there is some kinda limit.

I was hoping to go to Angeles the day after the soi 6 party of the year, so on the 4th which is kinda perfect for my dates but am I likely to have issues with immigration again? I know it's not an exact science it comes down the person who is checking your passport but given the amount of stamps in a short period of time I really don't wanna jeopardize my coming back to Thailand, it's a bit worrying.

It's my fault for being lazy and not sorting out a longer term visa, I plan on going down the education route when I get back but for this last trip really hoping there won't be any issues as I have a condo I've booked 6 months in advance.
