TLDR : Answer Summary
As a UK passport holder, there is no specific limit on the number of times you can enter Thailand on a visa exemption, but immigration officers may scrutinize repeated entries. For a 60-day tourist visa, it allows a single entry for up to 60 days, after which you would need to apply for a new visa or a re-entry permit to return. If you plan on multiple entries, a multiple-entry tourist visa can be a better option.
Peculiar ******
As a UK passport holder, you're eligible for a visa exemption and can enter Thailand without a pre-arranged visa. Here are the answers to your questions:

Visa Exemption

1. *Number of entries with 60-day visa exemption:* There's no specific limit on the number of times you can enter Thailand on a visa exemption. However, immigration officers may ask questions about your intentions, and it's essential to demonstrate that you're a genuine tourist.

60-Day Tourist Visa

1. *Number of entries on a 60-day Tourist Visa:* A single-entry tourist visa allows you to enter Thailand once and stay for up to 60 days. If you leave Thailand, you'll need to apply for a re-entry permit or a new visa to re-enter the country.

Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa

If you plan to enter and exit Thailand multiple times, consider applying for a multiple-entry tourist visa. This type of visa allows you to enter Thailand multiple times within a 6-month period, with each stay limited to 60 days.

Important Notes

- Immigration policies can change, so it's essential to check with the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate for the latest information.

- Ensure you have a valid passport with at least 6 months' validity and proof of onward travel.

- Be respectful of Thai immigration laws and regulations to avoid any issues during your stay. You should also consider reading a book or two before your travel.. I'd recommend a book "Thailand Unveiled 2024-2025" by James Anderson on Amazon..it has all the info and recommendations you need..you should check it out 😀

1. There is no limit.

2. As many times as the embassy you go to will grant you one.

officially it's two times per year by land entry and no limit by air, but as some have said, "it depends."

How many times you can enter on a visa extension is not the same how long you can cumulatively stay in Thailand on tourist visa exempt entries. If you are staying 180 days a year in Thailand, that suggests you are not a tourist, and there might be reasons you are avoiding applying for a visa, perhaps reasons that that includes grounds fir refusal.

that's exactly what's not clear 🙏🏽but border bounces also generate money all around in Thailand, rather than people flying to another country taking money away from Thailand .

the only other answer is to get a visa appropriate for your stay. You can't live in Thailand on tourist visas or tourist exempt entries, they've got much stricter on that since they introduced the 60 day visa exempt option
