This may be dumb question. By 60 days x 2 in each calender year do they mean 12 months from when ever you enter or do they mean per actual year 2024/2025/2026?

I have been to Thailand twice this year on 30 day visa exemption (UK citizen). Me and my partner want to spend a year travelling starting in November using Thailand as a base. I understand now we can get 60 days visa exempt as UK citizens, but is there any restriction per calendar year on how many times we can enter and receive 60 days visa exempt? Each time we will arrive by air but gov.uk website states we can only enter twice in one year visa free. If that’s the case I’ve already entered twice this year (and a hundred times before in 30 years) so will I be questioned when I arrive in November looking to enter for 60 days without a visa? Information is confusing so any help would be much appreciated. Is entry by air unlimited with a 60 day exemption each time? I get that crossing by land is limited to two entries to halt visa runs, but is arrival by air different?

Looking for some clarity on the 60 day rule on a VE flying from the UK, I read somewhere that you can now only get 2 of these per Calendar Year, whereby with the previous 30 Day VE, there was no real limit when flying in, though liable for being questioned and possible refused entry. Can someone please clarify what the rules are and is my interpretation right? TIA

Hi group, as a British national if I apply in advance for a tourist visa at each entry, can I enter land borders more than twice per year?

I’m aware that VOA is limited to two land border entries a year.

Thanks,

Daniel

Hi, I’m currently holding a Mexican passport with 3 ”tourist visa” stamps for the calendar year of 2023

1.) How many “tourist visas” per a calendar year is one passport holder usually allowed ? Is it 2, 3 or possibly 4 ?

2.) Is it possible with 3 tourists visa stamps on my current passport to enter under “visa on arrival” as Mexicans passport holders are given 15 days this December as I would like to spend Xmas in Thailand ?

3.) Is there a limit of entries for visa on arrival for Mexican passport holders ? I’ve don’t only one visa on arrival last year Dec.15 & was given stay till Jan.13 (30 days post covid)

4.) Will I be able to apply for a new tourist visa for the start of 2024 as it’s a new calendar year is that right ?

Plan to leave Asia by February. Trying to make travel plans for Xmas & NYE atm.

Much appreciated & thank you in advance !

Is there a limit to the number or times we can enter Thailand on a visa exemption or tourist visa in a calendar year? I arrived in March, did the 30 day extension, and then did the COVID visa. I was thinking of visiting the Philippines and then coming back to Thailand on a tourist visa or visa exemption again. Is this possible? Thanks in advance!

Is there such thing as a transit visa? I'll be flying out of Bangkok in May, and I'll have to do a visa run / trip to a nearby nation shortly before then. I'm debating how long I want to stay in Thailand on the second stay until my flight leaves. Is it viable to just come for a few days on a special transit stamp, or will I need to come in 30-days visa exempt again (US passport)? I want to minimize my number of 30-day entries because if I do that many times, I fear they'll stop letting me in.

(I know I could just change my flight, but I booked through one of those annoying services where you have to pay a bunch of money for them to help you at ALL, so I'd rather not do that. Lesson learned; never going to use that site again...)
