Has anybody been to Immigration in order to extend their 60 days “on arrival visa” for an extra 30 days at 1900 Bahts.

I’m travelling to Thailand next month with my Thai wife and son . We are staying 6 months and I know all the visa side of it. Now the question is - I’m travelling On a one way ticket and have done many times before but I’m also hearing that the airline can refuse you as you don’t have a ticket to return or onwards to anywhere else.
