Can anyone advise.Wanting to come on a 30- 60 day Visa free visit from Australia. Can I exit Thailand eg fly to Germany for a week and then return and stay for the remaining period that is stamped in my passport or am I better off to apply for a Visa if wanting to do this?
Hello, I’ve booked my flight for May and plan to stay for 55 days under the visa exemption scheme. I was wondering if it would be advisable to apply for a SETV in advance, in case the visa exemption period is reduced to 30 days.
I understand that I’m required to have an onward flight within the permitted stay, so I’m a bit concerned about the possibility of entry rules changing before my departure.
Hi everyone! I want to get a DTV visa in the next month or so, currently in Thailand on visa exemption. Can you please tell me a list of documents I would need to submit for a successful application, and the best possible country to submit with the best chances of approval in my situation?
I got a legit remote job on 20th of February with a B2B contract which I can submit as confirmation of employment, but I’ve been working without a valid contract before that for a couple of years.
I have the needed 17k$ in my home country bank account, but the amount has been deposited as two large sums at once a couple of weeks ago, and I would be able to submit only two payslips from my current workplace.
60 day visa exempt ends March 27th flights horrendous back to UK thinking of getting train to Nong Khai what’s the process in entering Laos there might do a couple of weeks there and wait for flights to come down ?
I’m planning to apply for the DTV (Soft Power – Muay Thai) in a couple of months once I have my bank statements ready.
Right now I’ve just finished my 60-day tourist visa and have received the 30-day extension. My plan is to leave Thailand for a short trip to Malaysia and then return hoping to get another 60-day visa exemption.
After that stay, once my bank statements reach the 3-month requirement, I plan to leave Thailand again and go to Vietnam (most likely Hanoi) to apply for the DTV Soft Power Muay Thai visa from there.
I have two questions:
Will there be any issue if my stay in Malaysia is only short (for example a few days) before returning to Thailand to get another 60-day visa exemption?
For the DTV financial requirement, do I need to show that the 500,000 baht has been in my account for the full 3 months, or do I just need to provide 3 months of bank statements with my name on the account and a final balance of at least 500,000 baht?
I’ve had a quick scroll through the group but can’t seem to find a direct answer to these questions. If anyone has had previous experience with this, your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Any latest news regarding 60-day visa exemption being cut off?
It's been about 3 weeks since i have not seen nor read anything new about the scheme to revert back 60 days to 30 days (which is quite a good news for me, less anxiety). Like literally no coverage about it at all since the Iran vs US/Israel broke out. What are the chances Thailand REALLY slash off the 60 days visa exemption before end of this year? I myself come from Visa Exempted country, already booked my plane for early December 2026 and fly out of Thailand in 6 weeks later. I really dont wanna bother myself to apply for eVisa Tourist if not necessary at all.
Just a quick question regarding a 60 day Visa exempt trip. During the 60 days, would you be able to exit Thailand to visit Laos or Myanmar and then return the same day/following day, without any re-entry issues?
How long do we need to be away (third country, not “home”) between 60-day exemptions?
I am a solo mom with two kids, all American passports on a 60 day exemption, which is up on the 26th of Dec. I intend to get a DTV as a digital nomad, but wanted to see how it is before going through the whole process, as this is our first time in Thailand.
My rough plan is to be in Taipei for Feb/ March, and apply for Thai DTV from there. In the meanwhile, we’ll be going to Malaysia over winter break and planning to return Jan 1. We won’t be there long enough to wait for the DTV to go through, so we’d be returning for another exemption. Is 8 days long enough they would be okay with another exemption? Or would they be okay with it because it would be only our second entry?
Alternately we could stay in Thailand over break and apply for an extension but I don’t know how likely it could be refused, or if the 30 days starts the day we apply, or if it gets added to our original date.
