[DTV success in Paris]

Hello, I just wanted to share my timeline for getting a DTV in the Paris ambassy, and thanking this group for all their help!

Ambassy: Paris (French passport)

Type: Soft power (cooking classes), with House of Taste (Bangkok), 6 months program

Type of revenue proof: My savings account balance (Livret A), in French, for the past 3 months

Application date: Jan 22nd (11PM)

Visa approval: Feb 16th (11.30AM)

I did buy a plane ticket to add to my application (date was Feb 27th, which is when I intended to leave).

Hope this helps!

Hello everyone, may I ask something?

I’m French, and on my French passport there is no middle name (French passports usually list only the given name and the surname).

For the Thai eVisa form, should I leave the ‘middle name’ field blank?

Example

Given name -H,K

Surname -Moses

Should I support to put K in the middle name form?

Will it cause any issue or rejection?

Thank you in advance

Passport place of issuance

I have a French passport that was issued by a French embassy outside of France.

What shall I put as place of issuance?

I have read that some people put the country of origin and others put the embassy from which they received their passport. Really confusing 🤯

Hi everyone 😁 ! I’m preparing for my DTV visa application for next week in Hanoi and have another question that seems to be ambiguous for many people.

I have French passport and there is no “place of issue” inside but I have these sections :

- a country code : FRA

- an Authority : Préfecture de l’Ille-et-Vilaine RENNES

(That’s in France but that seems really long…)

Some people say to just write you country of origin.

Please can French people or people who had a similar situation and already submitted and GET APPROVED advise me on this cause I read a lot of things and it’s unclear…

THANK YOU everyone 😌🙏 have a great day !

Approved in Hanoi!

I'd like to thank everyone in this group for sharing their experience, that's been super helpful. Here's mine with a French passport:

January 14th: Applied under the remote work category

January 14th: Requested additional documents: Page of my passport with the Vietnamese immigration stamp.

January 14th: Moved to "Pending Approval"

January 21st: No news, so I sent an email and called them. No one answered the phone. But around 5PM, I got the visa by email.

What I provided:

1. Savings account with more than 500k. I had about 600k at the time of application. My savings are on Revolut.

1. Work contracts + earning certificate from Upwork. I'm a freelancer with 3 clients in EU, US, UK, and other smaller projects on Upwork. So I merged all the signed contracts + the Upwork paper into 1 PDF.

1. A photo of my passport + my photo in front of the hotel with the room key. I suggest you to add the stamp from immigration too (I didn't). Merge all in a PDF doc too.

1. A flight number and where I planned to stay in Thailand. I booked a temporary flight ticket + a hotel with no credit card required for a month. They do not ask for a confirmation email or any screenshot.

I was in Sapa the whole time while waiting and it was fine.

Please keep in mind that Hanoi embassy will probably close next week due to the Lunar New Year, so it might take longer for you to get it.

Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks again everyone that contributed in this group!

Hello, I entered Thailand on 6 September 2024 with French passport on a METV 6 month visa valid from 21 august 2024 - 16 February 2025. I did one 30 day visa extension just before the first 60 day deadline and then left the country twice on holiday. My latest entry stamp received at BKK airport now shows "admitted 13 January 2025 until 13 march 2025."

Should I want to stay the maximum amount of time that I can get out of this 6 month visa, must I leave the country before 16 February as shown on original visa or can I leave just prior to the latest stamp showing "until 13 march" giving me 60 more days? Could I also ask for 30 day extension just before the 13 march?

Thank you to clarify this for me.

Your visa application has been rejected. Wrong personal info: Country of Passport and Nationality do not match

I have a French passport and renewed my passport in my french embassy in Mauritius

What's wrong ? They just want to take my money : I paid 300 EUROS

But what a shame !! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
