TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of applying for a Thai e-visa to visit family while traveling in Indonesia, stating they hold a French passport. Comments suggest that with a French passport, they can enter Thailand for 60 days without a visa and question why the application isn't being submitted from their home country instead.

Then you may be out of luck. You would need to do that online with the embassy of the country you’re in. But it takes some time. You might be too late.

Good luck

That’s what you do online. Every visa is done online with the Thai embassy of your current location. Embassies are outside of Thailand.

And nobody can tell you how long YOUR application will take. It depends on how fast they work and how many applications they currently have. Can be a few days or 2 weeks. Maybe even more.

And: I don’t know what a family visa is. Maybe you should lookup the possibilities on the immigration.gov.th site

Do you need a visa? If you have a French passport you can get a 60 day visa exempt entry to Thailand

7 days might not be enough time to apply for a visa, if you mean you will only be there for 7 days. If you have a Thai wife or Thai child, you can get a visa based on that.
