Has anyone successfully entered Thailand with a DTV linked to an old passport that they no longer physically have?
My DTV is valid until 2030 and was issued in Paris under my previous French passport. I recently renewed my passport, and in France they did not allow me to keep the physical old passport, they retained it when issuing the new one.
I do, however, have clear photos of the old passport’s identity page, as well as all my previous Thai entry stamps. I have already entered Thailand several times using this DTV, so it should also be visible in the immigration system.
I plan to travel with:
* My new passport
* The printed DTV e-Visa confirmation
* A colour copy of my old passport’s identity page
* Photos of my previous DTV entry stamps
Has anyone entered in the same situation without having the physical old passport? If so, which airline and Thai airport did you use, and did either the airline or immigration give you any trouble?
I’m especially interested in recent firsthand experiences rather than general assumptions. Thank you!
