Hi everyone 😁 ! I’m preparing for my DTV visa application for next week in Hanoi and have another question that seems to be ambiguous for many people.
I have French passport and there is no “place of issue” inside but I have these sections :
- a country code : FRA
- an Authority : Préfecture de l’Ille-et-Vilaine RENNES
(That’s in France but that seems really long…)
Some people say to just write you country of origin.
Please can French people or people who had a similar situation and already submitted and GET APPROVED advise me on this cause I read a lot of things and it’s unclear…
THANK YOU everyone 😌🙏 have a great day !
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is preparing for a DTV visa application in Hanoi and seeks clarification on what to write as the 'place of issue' for their French passport, which does not have a clear designation. They mention having a country code (FRA) and an authority (Préfecture de l’Ille-et-Vilaine RENNES) but find the information ambiguous. The community provided some hints, suggesting to either write the city where the passport was issued or simply indicate the country of origin.
