Love this group! Husband and i got DTV with the help of this group for remote work. USA Passports. This is our first re-entry.
Flew to Laos Aug 23 (after 180 days in TH) and been having a beautiful time in Laos for the last month (Vang Vieng mostly, gorgeous place highly recommend for digital nomads)
We extended our Lao visa 1 more week to celebrate my husbands bday on Sep 24th and coming home a few days after that via flight Vientiane-Bangkok.
I have my DTV stamped in my passport and husband has his in his printed. Anything we should prepare or expect? 🧐@Just wondering cuz it’s the first “border hop” even tho we’ll have been in lao 5 weeks.
Also coming back to Lao again mid November when the husbands grandparents visit😄
Yes yes I’ve searched thru this sub just would love to to know advice for our specific situation first re-entry😇
I'm about to do my first re-entry while having a DTV active (entered with it Thailand in end of January and have to extend or re-enter now for the +180 days. By plane (singapore). Aside from the visa document, do I need anything else for the airport? I've been reading all the posts about being stricter now. I don't have a statement showing money in bank account, but I can show the money through e-banking if needed (they are across few accounts, all mine). The DTV was as digital nomad (showed portfolio and business and money back then).
Hi, I’m doing a land run to Laos. Someone told me on the trip that you need to submit an extra visa application online that takes three days to process while here, even though you didn’t need to do this last time. Is this true? Or can I simply cross back into Thailand without submitting the online form?
Hello everyone, I left Thailand a week ago for Malaysia where I applied for a non-immigrant O visa (Thai wife). Unfortunately the process is longer than I expected. So I returned to Thailand with a visa exemption. My question is this : Can I return to Malaysia, collect my visa and then return to Thailand with the said visa ? Someone already did that ? Thank you
For those curious about re-entry on DTV - I came through BKK, had my printed Evisa, the only question asked was if this was my first time returning on the visa. Quick and easy! Props to 🇹🇭 for the best visa in SEA.
Has anyone applied for DTV visa in PHNOM PENH? Then while they waited for an answer on the DTV went back into Thailand? I still have roughly 7 days left on my tourist visa for Thailand ? This would be my 3rd re entering into Thailand.
It seems that the DTV extension, according to some reports, requires more documentation than the initial application, including rental agreements, income proof, reports on past and future work, screenshots of work etc.
For those who have re-entered Thailand to obtain a new 180-day stamp, did you have to provide any additional documents? If so, what was required? I will be leaving Thailand for a few month and want to be prepared.
I applied for my DTV in the UK before arriving, but it didn't get processed in time. So I crossed the Thai border on a tourist visa, and frustratingly, my DTV was approved only hours afterward.
Does anyone know if I can re-enter with my DTV on a border run or switch over somehow? It is multi-entry, afterall.
I arrived Thailand November 26 on exemption and go to Sri Lanka December 26. I want to come back to Thailand January 4. Will getting exemption again be a problem? Canada PP
