I haven’t seen or heard it talked about and so I am guessing the answer is no but can you get a DTV by having income from properties? Thank you.
Answer summary
The discussion revolves around whether income from properties can qualify for obtaining a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand. Contributions suggest that while some individuals have declared rental income as part of their financial means for visa applications, responses vary significantly depending on individual cases. Speculation indicates that traditional work arrangements may not qualify under the DTV workcation scheme, while others assert that property management and rental income can be acknowledged under the Soft Power Program linked to the DTV. Ultimately, the Thai Embassy should provide the most definitive answers regarding specific visa applications.

Yes, there are several posts from home owners renting out properties and got the DTV workcation.
Renting out, being responsible for the property, order repairs, pay repairs are seen as working, maybe not in your home country but there you do not need a visa to walk around.
for those who think working is not working as their rules about working are different than the Thai rules, keep thinking.
wanting to experience a soft power activity like muay thai for extensive time. Its not to circumvent workcation requirements. So no, soft power category does not exist to cover people without normal income.
Alex Ni sure. but soft power is for soft power activities and not to game the system. your whole visa purpose is to train muay thai or learn cooking. its not to circumvent the workcation requirements and use it for remote work.
There have definitely been some posters on here declaring rental revenue as official income. But as usual, the only place you can get 100% certainty from is the embassy that assesses your visa application.
It varies all over the place. Give em a call, or email them.
