For soft power DTV re-entering, did airport immigration ask you for proof of continuing the classes? Also if you are working remotely as well, did you tell them? (If they ask what you are doing)
UPDATE: I thought this group was to help and assist people with applying and advice. But it’s starting to be full of people who just comment negatively offering no advice or accusing people of wrong doing without evidence.
I came here to discuss my recent experience and suprised people have this much time on their hand’s. If you have nothing useful to say just keep it to yourself.

I’ve seen 3 rejected in Hanoi posts today & I was also rejected for an applicant I helped apply for Soft Power Hanoi
I had two recent success with Hanoi soft power & did nothing different other than applicants passport & bank being a different bank
Embassy havent told me why it was rejected & considering I had two approved I am struggling to spot the problem.
I applied for a DTV visa at the Tokyo embassy at the end of last month and had an interview in Tokyo on the 4th of this month. Today, the visa was approved and sent to me. However, it was labeled "Tourist TR VISA". The validity period is only about 6 months. What could be the problem? Has anyone else experienced a similar situation?
I just got my visa approved on Sep 15th through the Soft Power program.
I applied in Ho Chi Minh on September 4, and even though the embassy asked for some extra documents (and my phone broke at the worst timing ever..55), everything finally worked out.
Big thanks to Wildcat Muay Thai in Chiang Mai — I honestly couldn’t have done it without their guidance and support 🙏
And also thanks to this group for sharing so much helpful info along the way.
Can’t wait to be back in Chiang Mai with my visa and start training soon!
I applied for the Soft Power program at the Fukuoka Consulate and received an invitation for an online interview. May I ask if there is anything I should prepare in advance? I would also like to know what kind of questions are usually asked during the Soft Power interview.
Hello I'm a 61 year old male in Canada .I'm thinking about getting a DTV visa and want to verify that all is needed is 10,000 baht for the visa and if I get a 180 day extension it's 1900 baht. This visa last 5 years. Any idea how long it could take to get this ?
Have any DTV holders on soft power gone to their home country for the Xmas/holiday season and faced any difficulty when coming back into Thailand? This is obviously a normal reason to exit and re-enter, but if anyone was grilled for "not participating" in their activity please comment with your experience! 🙏
About cover letter : several applicants mention submitting a cover letter. For soft power, where exactly can we upload the cover letter? In the 'Supporting documents' page you can upload only evidence for 3.current location, 4 financial evidence and 5.proof of confirmation to attend the activity; there is no field where you can add a cover letter.
