Hi All, I am in Thailand on 60 day Visa at the moment. I am heading to Vietnam in December/January. I was going to apply for my DTV there rather than going back to Aus. I was wanting to know if there was anyone in a similar situation to mine that can share their experience?

I don't want to go all the way back to Aus to do paperwork if I can avoid it.

I applied in Hanoi on the 15/10 at night (paid after midnight so application date is 15/10 and payment date is 16/10).

17/10 - I was requested additional documents

18/10 09:00 - submitted all requested additional documents

20/10 - status went to “pending approval”

I didn’t stay long in Hanoi, the city is overwhelming, I am traveling in the area.

And while applying to Hanoi embassy, it specifically declares the places that are in the north of Vietnam that are associated with Hanoi embassy.

I am staying in this area that is assigned to Hanoi Thai Embassy.

My concern lies if I will be summoned to a personal interview.

From what I saw from other candidates here in the group, the interview was always in the morning of the next day upon receiving the invitation, sometimes just receiving it afternoon, leaving much less than 24 hours.

I am looking for advice from people that have experienced it, to hear from them:

* Did anyone got a “request interview” after they got “pending approval”?

* Has anyone that got the request interview for less than 24 hours, reached to the embassy and successfully rescheduled to a day later?

Can someone that has experienced it share?

Hi. Here's a question about applying DTV in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Should I stay only in Hanoi until I get my visa approved?

Or I can travel near Hanoi?

I applied for the DTV in Hanoi about a week ago. Can I travel to central Vietnam (which is linked to HCMC embassy, not Hanoi) while I wait for the visa to be processed, or do I have to stay around Hanoi?

Edit: I found a lot of info already.. but which city is nicer to visit, is my remaining question..

Who would like to share their experience with application in Vietnam?

How long was the process?

Hi guys, I need to apply for a curricular internship visa for Thailand. I'm planning to go to Hanoi to do it, and they said it would take between one to three working days. I saw that the application would be online—do you think I can travel around Vietnam, or do I have to stay in Hanoi for the entire period?

Another question: I saw that they require a document indicating my current location, but I'm not sure what I should upload.

My plan was to go to Thailand at the end of February and then to Vietnam and Bali from mid of March to mid of April. Before going back to Sweden spend a few days in Bangkok. All in less than 60 days.

But now, after reading about ETA, I have been really confused. There are so many contradictions when trying to find out what’s right.

Can I do this without problems? Boarder crossings will be by air. Fights to and from Stockholm probably with Thai airways.

I’ve already asked the Thai embassy in Stockholm but they passed me on to Immigration. I guess you are giving me a quicker answer.

For those with DTV visa - just did my first exit trip to Vietnam (5 day trip) and re entry to dmk. No questions asked, no issues, another 6 month stamp.

If I'm in hanoi for issuing the dtv, can I go meanwhile to another city until it is confirmed?

If we have 2 passports, and we enter Vietnam with one of them, but want to issue the dtv on the other one, is that OK? Or should we must issue the dtv in hanoi based on same passport used to enter Vietnam?
