Hello, I will be applying for DTV soon. Will I need to provide proof of a Thai address, TM-30, anything like this?

Also, if I apply in Hanoi embassy, does that mean I have to physically stay in Hanoi the entire time while my application is processing? Or I can I be anywhere in Vietnam while applying in Hanoi's embassy?

Thanks 🙏

Answer summary

The DTV visa application does not require proof of a Thai address or the TM-30 form. You do not need to stay in Hanoi during the processing of your application; you can be anywhere in Vietnam while your application is handled at the Hanoi embassy.

You should do a whole lot more research before applying, because you don’t know even the most fundamental things.

Since you can't apply for the DTV in Thailand you don't need any information relating to Thailand except permission from an employer to work there if that's the reason you apply. The Hanoi consulate serves a specific area in Vietnam so anywhere in the area would be fine

TM30 is irrelevant in any DTV application. It would not be "Live" at tome of your application. You do not have time stay in Hanoi. You can travel in Vietnam. Good luck.
