What preparations should I make for my trip to Vietnam with my DTV visa?

Dec 10, 2025
I am a DTV Holder , My DTV, was approved in May 2025, been in and out of thailand so far 3 times with no issues. All through Don Mueng.

I do the Thai Nature seminar, i’ve attended 3 in person and 2 online , No attendance form to fill in was required.

I am going to vietnam in February 2026 and don’t want any issues as my visa is valid until May 2030.

I must now bring 25,000 baht CASH with me , I always print a copy of my visa in A4 inside my passport , along with my TDAC, what else do i need to do?

Thanks in advance. I just want to be prepared! Like we all do!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user holds a DTV visa, valid until May 2030, and has traveled to Thailand multiple times without issues. They are preparing for a trip to Vietnam in February 2026 and seek advice on necessary preparations. They mention needing to carry 25,000 baht cash and already have copies of their visa and TDAC. Comments from the community suggest paying for fast track at the airport, clarifications on cash requirements, and inquiries about the Nature seminar.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

Pay 2000 baht and book the fast track lane at Suvarnabhumi airport, if you are worried about entry

The 20,000 baht requirement isnt for DTV - your DTV has an income/ savings requirement - yes the DTV is a tourist visa but you had to show alot more funds in savings / income in order to get it. The 20,000 baht requirement the exact language reads "avaible cash or other documentation" its aimed at visa exempt users

Where did you have to attend the three lessons in person?

It is 20k THB for a single visitor and that has always been the case for tourists before the DTV was issued. DTV comes under tourism but the recent changes are aimed at those abusing the VE system.

Some are saying, showing the cash in your bank app is ok or with a certified bank statement. I checked with the London Thai embassy, they said cash only. I just bring cash in different currencies.
