I travel to Thailand 3 times a year for 45 days each time (max days for travel insurance). Each time fly London to BKK and back to London. Do you think I will have any issues getting my usual visa exemption with the new rules?

I’m getting really confused by the ED VISA I’ve been emailing a few schools for information etc .. and I was aware of that every 90days you have to go to immigration and extend your Ed visa to keep studying .

But one school wrote back to me and said that you have to leave Thailand after 6 months and apply again !!! This is the first time I’ve heard them say this …

Thailand has reinstated the requirement for tourist visa applicants to provide proof of financial resources, effective May 2025. This has now at least been implemented by the Royal Thai embassy Berlin and the 2 Thai consulates in Germany. Maybe other embassies will follow, I don't know. I wish to avoid any speculations.

It has already been installed in the e-visa online system of some Thai embassies, and others might follow soon.

This old

requirement was lifted in November 2023 to facilitate entry for international travelers.

Applicants for a 60-days single entry or multi entry tourist visa must now provide proof of at least 20,000 THB equivalent to their local currency, usually through recent bank statements or a letter of sponsorship.

This proof must be uploaded into the e-visa application.

Has any U.S. Citizen that is *not* a resident or citizen in Australia applied from Australia? I knew someone (but she was an aus citizen) who said they only checked her bank account proof for day of but now im seeing it say 3 months of bank statements and 6 months of income statements. Maybe they’ve changed the policy since she applied last year though. I had been thinking about applying in Australia.

Hi everyone,

I jsut this week renewed my Retirement Visa for another full year, but trying to map out the Visa Status situation for my Filipina Girlfriend...

I am aware that Filipino Citizens are now allowed 60 day Visa Free Entry with another 30 Day extension for a total of 90 days stay.

Recently heard from an Immigration agent that the New Thai Gvt have also made a few adjustments in regards to the border crossings, so eventhough I recognize it is totally to the Border Control Officer's discretion and even if it is Not a written rule, the general concensus seemed to be 2 Visa Free Border Crossings per calendar year would not raise any concerns...

We will of course eventually have to look into a long term visa,

but in the meantime, I would appreciate some clarification on

<What is the number of Visa Runs allowed and if we enter by Land, how many days would a Filipino citizen be allowed on a Visa Free Entry?

Thanks in advance and Best Wishes for the upcoming holidays. 🏖

Are 60 day tourist visas now rendered obsolete for many folks, as they now have the option to come into the country on a stamp for the same amount of time? Is there any benefit to getting a tourist visa over a 60 day stamp? Are they still available for those qualifying citizens?

ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS:

6**0 day visa exempt stamp JUST STARTED at the airports now

It's for air or land entry **

**IT IS OFFICIAL

**(and in case you're wondering if that top stamp is a russian entry it is NOT, it's from a Chinese passport, that's why they have the ผ.60-ม.17 before they used to get ผ.30-ม.17 but now it's ผ.60-ม.17 and it's why I posted a "NEW" ผ.60 stamp that didn't exist until they started this 60 day stamp dealy)
