Hi all, my work in Singapore will likely end in March 2025 and I'm considering applying for DTV. Curious to know if I apply for it now, would there be an "expiry date" or deadline on when I need to enter Thailand with it? I'd like to apply for it early enough to make other plans in the event that it was unsuccessful. I'm holding a Canadian passport. Also, I'm not eligible to apply online through the Thai e-visa system in Singapore, do most people apply at their nearest Thai embassy? Thank you for your help!!

Question!

Is it possible to extend my on arrival visa as a Canadian? Or do I need to do a boarder run?

I’ve been living here since September but my student visa ended. So I just did a trip to Cambodia and back but for some reason I thought I can extend the on arrival visa?

I have been having a conversation with a Canadian couple... do they get 3 months visa as opposed to the 2 months that they applied for? Apparently its offered to Russians, Chynese, USA and Canada. Could be more countries. I told them to join this group for clarification.

Hi! My partner and I have Canadian passports and are going to Thailand/Vietnam for 7 weeks. We’re going to fly direct in and out of Bangkok (we used points) at the beginning and ending of our trip. We’re thinking 3 1/2 weeks in Thailand, then go to Vietnam, then back to Thailand to leave. What’s the best way to do this, visa-wise?

Hi! Before I purchase our flights, I'd love to have some clarification for entry for canadians. We are a family of 5 wanting to visit Thailand. We have about 4-5 months, would love to spend 2 in Thailand and then travel to malaysia/Vietnam and fly home from Vietnam. Do we need to apply for visa ahead of time? Or can we do the free entry, then either border run or pay and extend for the extra 30 days. And are they ok if we have a flight home from Vietnam when we land in thailand , or do we need proof of leaving Thailand?

Canadian passeport. First trip in Thailand for 140 days. Arrived at Phuket airport last november 24 th and received 45 days exemption. Later: extention for 30 in Phuket Town. On january 30th did visa bounce at land border Satun/ Malaisia from Koh Samui with an agency. I now need an extension on that 45 days exemption.

Flight planned this friday from Bangkok Don Mueang airport to Krabi as travelling to Koh Lanta.

Is there an immigration office at Don Mueang airport where I could ask an extension?

I am a Canadian passport holder living in Chiang Rai. I'm confused as to where I can obtain a tourist visa in Laos. Do I have to go to a city with a Thai Embassy (Vientenne), or can I apply for a tourist visa at one of the nearby land border crossings (Chiang Sean, Chiang Khong)?

Canadian passport holders...arriving 1Dec with 45 days on arrival. Do we need return air tickets? Not sure how long we will be here and will probably go down to KL after 45 days in Thailand. I heard about the rent a return ticket. Do they work and what would be the best time to purchase them...before arriving?

Hello!

I have a Canadian passport and am currently here on an Ed visa that expires on the 30th of December. I am planning on leaving the country by early January and wanted to know what are the steps I need to take to be able to stay legally within the country until my flight.

Thanks in advance for your help!
