Confused by everyone's conflicting information.

I'm Canadian

90 day air ticket booked and paid. If I arrive without a visa and just get visa free stamp on arrival for the 60 days but intend to add another 30 days extension. Will the lack of an exit flight in 60 days time be an issue. Or will the 90day exit flight I have booked make sense.

hello all

maybe a silly question but i have been waiting for dtv visa approval since august 14. The application has been delayed because they needed additional documents and the person doing the visa applications is currently on leave. Now, tomorrow I will arrive in Thailand. Since I meet all the conditions I suspect my visa application will be approved but since the circumstances so not until I am already in the country. In other words, I will enter on a visa-free basis (so I suspect I will also have to show a return ticket from within 60 days?). Now, my question is, if I get my dtv visa while I am in the country, do I still have to leave the country and back in for this visa to be valid? Or can I solve this by e.g. stopping by a migration office?

It's complicated.

Arriving in Thailand next week with my Thai lady.

Our UK return flights are scheduled for 3 months after our arrival.

1. Might I have issues (not being a Thai resident) in that my return flight is more than the 60 days automatic visa free stay period for UK nationals? I've been advised *by friends and acquaintances) everything from "forget about it, there'll be no problems" to "better book a flight out of Thailand before the 60 days, even if you don't use it" and "just book a bus to Vietnam during the 60 day period even if you don't use it".

1. It GETS WORSE in that I will actually leave Thailand by (aroundabouts) the 60 days (as yet unscheduled business appointments to keep in the UK) but will be booking flights from LOS to the UK and back, once the dates I must be back in the UK are confirmed, so that me and my Thai lass can return back to the UK together, as per the already scheduled flight.

1. When I return to Thailand, having been away as advised, should I go through immigration as a new arrival or do I need to go to the visa extension desk?

I hope that little lot is a little clear than appears, at first reading.

Any advice gratefully received.

Thank you.

Two quick visa(free) questions:

1. Arriving visa-free with the initial 30 days, is it indeed possible to add another 30 days at an immigration office (e.g. in Chiang Mai)?

2. If then exiting to Laos or Cambodia for a bit, is it possible to return with another 15 days crossing overland?

Trying to figure out if it's worth getting the 60 day (90 extendible in-country) tourist visa or if visa-free would suffice.

Information online is all over the place about this and everything else Thai visa related.

hi! After some confirmation, please. Visa-free entry (Australian) is 30 days and can be extended for a further 30 days at a Thai immigration office closest to our location? (fee approximately (thb2000) and is a passport photo required at the time of application for extension? Lastly, can I apply for the extension at any time during the initial 30-day stay? Thank you heaps!!

Hello everyone. I heard that if you are currently allowed to enter and stay visa-free for 30 days, you can apply for an extension of 30 days, for a total of 60 days. Is this true? How do I do this? How much will it cost? Thanks.

Hello All !

Belgian citizen on 30-day “visa free” entry, 10 days in atm and wondering if I automatically get 30 new days as soon as I exit (and re-enter) the country ? How long should I spend outside Thailand ?

Or is it better to extend for another 30-days before they expire ?

Thank you for your help.

Hi guys! I entered Thailand with VISA-free with Taiwanese passport, I thought I can extend 30days but the immigration said they can only give me 7 days stamp due to my nationality, so I did not get it. And it will expire tomorrow.

I wonder if I do a one day border run from Chiangmai-Laos tmr, is it possible for me to get another 30days? ❗️
