Korat immigration do they now require a12month bank statement as I have been informed that its 13month statement issued from bkb head office taking 1 week to issue i have been holding a retirement visa for annually last 15 yrs
Answer summary
The question discusses the current bank statement requirements for visa renewal at Korat immigration, particularly regarding whether a 12-month or 13-month statement is needed. Expats share their experiences and insights, with many confirming that a 13-month statement has recently been requested, while others note that a 12-month statement is typically sufficient. There is frustration over changing regulations and inconsistencies between different immigration offices in Thailand.

Bangkok requests 12 months. Back to previous extension. Before that they already have in their files

12mth or 13mth? Most immigration office requires the statements to cover the mth of your last extension until your current application....bkk bank have these problem of only printing out 6mths statements over the counter in order to solve this problem one shd request a 6mth statements from the app covering your previous extensions (received in email same day) keep a copy and when its time to do extension request the bank letter and the other 6mths statements over the counter and pls remember to let the bank staff stamp your copy of the previous 6mths den present both sets of statements to immigration for a complete 1yr statement hope this helps

Bernard Doherty I think it depends on the Bank and the staff member you deal with. I find some do this within hours, some take minuts and others be as long as it takes to not only ask the remaining staff in the Bank, but also to call the head office branch, check their personal phone and respond to their personal messages and get the supervisor to sign everything...! I experience this at several Banks.

The bank statement has been a requirement for some time however some immigration offices may not have been inforcing this. I first needed this in Pattaya about 4 or 5 years ago and now I'm in Khon Kaen they also require it plus a friend in Chayaphum needs it so quite common from what I can tell. I'm with Kasikorn bank and they can print the 12 month statement at the branch so no need to order if you bank with them.

Visit the immigration, get the application forms and they will give you a small slip with the requirements for the bank. My retirement renewal in March needed 12 month and I was told it will be 13 month from then onwards.

LovelyWolf1783 the 13 month statement is not any more difficult than the 12 month statement

LovelyWolf1783 ya. It’s getting a bit absurd at this point with the constant changes or misinformation etc. the best advice is to keep it in a separate account and leave it. But then you are basically wasting the potential earnings of almost 25k USD a year. So ya

Many thanks unfortunately korat has a new chief installed and it seems he has his own agenda along with the latest corruption mess regarding fake birth certs

I don't know about Korat specifically but generally you need statements covering the period from the date your last extension was stamped into your passport until the date you request the statements, which can't be more than 7 days old. Bangkok Bank generally want 4-5 working days to provide the statements but you can request they get emailed to you so you will get them the next afternoon (oddly they won't email them to the branch).

Bangkok Bank you get 12-month statement from the App

yes but you have to be careful it provides what you need. It's not really 12 months, it's the current month and the previous 11 months so for those using the 800k method it might not go back as far as the date of your current extension

I have never paid anything to immigration other than the proper cost of visa, extensions etc nor an agent, and live out in the east of the country. One IO a number of years ago did smilingly suggest a "tip", I just laughed and nothing more was said.

Bangkok Bank (my branch anyway) haven't stamped statements for about six years. As long as Bank Book is also produced there's no problem. I'm realising more and more just how user-friendly Bangkok Immigration is. I think many other offices are so used to getting bribery money they make life difficult for those who do the right thing

@Stephen *******
it works for the 65k method as long as you request the statement after the current months transfer has arrived. I'm not sure all immigration offices accept the statement unless it's stamped by the bank though
Stephen ********

@John *********
I use the 65k monthly transfers so I guess I just have to show the 12 transfers leading up to date of extension

That's why i moved to Krunsri bank just go and get a 1 year statement and letter takes 30 minutes.
