Any multiple visa issued by an embassy or outside Thailand is always suggested that the visa holder leave Thailand before the visa stamp expires and then return to Thailand within the next two days or more.

I do not advocate doing the extension inside Thailand because they will require an abundance of paperwork and financial proof.

Unless you apply for a visa in Thailand, you will be able to stay until the expiration date. Then you must apply for a fresh start visa again. There are no single or multiple entries unless you pay the re-entry charge. The scary thing is that there are so many paperwork required (if you do not plan to use an agent) and 3 sets.

Multiple visas from the embassy are much preferable. When your visa is about to expire ... simply exit and return to Thailand; you will receive an additional days.

Other request documents:

1.Please upload the contract with your company

2.Please upload proof of income (proof of company transfer to bank account more than 3month ago

I am a USA Citizen residing in Taiwan.

I applied online in Taiwan.

I work through my own LLC.

I gave them upon my original application:

A. a letter showing I work through my own LLC

B. my primary customer who wrote a letter confirming this along with the years of working together

C. the certificate of organization of my more than 10-year-old biz

D. my EIN

E. proof of my annual report filings for a decade

F. 4 months of my biz bank account getting payments

What in the world are they asking for?

It looks like a contract from my LLC to myself?

My LLC bank account sending money to my personal bank account?

I have no idea what else to submit...

Any advice is appreciated.

Submitted my online application soft power medical just after midnight this morning in Vientiane. I had to change my Non B extension 6 weeks before the DTV was released, so I immediately changed to Non O based on being over 50. Went to the consulate to queue at 8am for the 9am opening and surprised to see only a Thai/Laos family in line ahead of me to get a passport for their daughter. I'm a bit pissed at myself for not realizing there was a QR Code to download and print off by clicking whatever it was I needed to click to take me to that QR code form. This was revealed to me by the gateman and as I turned around to find a printer a tout dragged me across the street to a canopy tent with a guy and a laptop ready to grease me for 50 baht to print one page. I walked down the street into an office building and saw a young lady exiting an office and queried her as to where I could get a page printed. She kindly got it done for me in a minute. Apparently the office is a learning center and she spoke great English. So back down the street to hand over the printout and pay my 10K. Walked into the main foyer inside and spoke with a friendly, kind, informative, office staffer who told me that likely I'd be called in for an interview/open banking app in person by Friday. By the time I was back at my hotel status went from pending payment to payment received and pending document check, by 2pm it went to pending approval. I waited till today to apply as it was exactly 3 months seasoning of the 500K in one account and another account with 500+K that had steady monthly incremental increases over a year. Drove my old car from Chiang Rai to Vientiane using a international car passport from Thai DLT and a mini-marathon of back and forth counter shuffling paperwork on both sides of the Nong Khai border, it was a bucket list, level up task I wanted to accomplish. Apparently first time is always extra duty and easier once you get the initial bar/QR code. Beer Laos is dirt cheap 32 baht a bottle, I'm going to bring a dozen home even tho I'm not a drinker. Will update this post as circumstances dictate.

PS, on the same side of the street beside the consulate is a coffee shop, and beside the coffee shop is another person under a tent doing printing for 10 baht (if I recall).

Update 13/03 2pm

E-mail received for interview Monday morning, darn I was hoping I wouldn't have to wait through the weekend. But, on the other hand it's pretty much a done deal now. I came with 3.1 million Kip, only have half a million left, my biggest expense was 620,000 on a quality outdoor adventure type shirt. 100K on a massage and the rest on food and morning coffee, where the heck did it all go?

I would encourage people to not go for extensions and stop asking about them and I’ll tell you why.

This is a special five year tourist visa and for some reason the Thai government does not want you staying there for a year straight whatever the reason may be, there’s a reason to make it so difficult to get an extension and when you applied for this you knew that you had to fly out every six months and you should’ve planned for that.

I know that the expats in Thailand are notorious for finding ways around the rules of the country and it’s almost kind of like an achievement to them, but the thing is you’re going to ruin this visa for us if you keep trying to push for things like bank accounts on this visa that you’re not supposed to have or extensions that they don’t want to grant you quite clearly, because you are not a resident you are a tourist that’s why we don’t get a residence card.

Yeah, you can kind of treat it like a five year residency, but there is a reason an unwritten reason why they want you to leave every six months and it was baked into the visa and the more people who go for extensions and find ways to get them are going to piss off the people in the ministry and the immigration to where they might just stop letting us in one day , they can do whatever they want with this visa, they can tell us to leave, so you know, pushing the envelope all the time isn’t always the greatest thing and there’s no gain in getting extension except for you save a little bit of money and a little bit of time But in all reality you should’ve planned to leave every six months anyways, so I really get tired of seeing the extension post over and over and over again because I know that it’s going to put an end into this visa and possibly our time on it because even though it says it’s granted for five years, they don’t have to honor it.

Hi guys, so my friend (an OIC holder) is applying the DTV from South India and he has provided all the required documents. But the immigration is asking for addition papers which says -

"Document indicating current location: Upload a government issued current location document like a national ID or rental agreement. Note that it should be a location from South India".

The issue is, he has already submitted the entry stamp, hotel receipts and reccomendation letter but they still do not accept. So, he has tried to get "Form C" from the hotel but turns out the hotel which he has been staying for 3 weeks has been registered under a different catagory and thus, cannot provide it. The immigration in India also said that it's the hotel's job to give Form C and that he cannot get a reccomendation letter from them either.

So, he has called about 20 hotels so far if they can provide it and none of them even know about the form. There is two 5 star hotels which may provide it (not guaranteed also) but the rates are very expensive.

We are trying to think of an alternative way but cannot come up with anything else. Is there another way to prove this?

Can the bank account with 500,000 Baht have a co-signer on the account or does it need to be in your name only?
