Question about Non O retirement visa, on a year extension that expires second week of November. I won’t be in Thailand to submit paperwork for another year extension at the Jomtien Immigration Office by then. I know I will have to apply again when I get back to Thailand. Do I need to visit the Immigration Office in Jomtien to cancel this extension before I leave? When I return to Thailand next year, do I enter on 30 day visa exempt and start the process for Non O retirement visa over, will there be any fines? Just want to do this correctly and cheers to all.

Why are some freelance agents saying DTV is going to change due to the Prime Minister being suspended? Feels like scare tactics

Has anyone here successfully applied for the DTV Soft Power visa through the Thai embassy in London?

I’m considering enrolling with Arun Thai Cooking School, which offers:

* 6-Month Program (8 Classes) – 18,900 THB

* Visa Support Package (Optional) – 18,000 THB

The visa support package includes the official embassy visa fee (13,000–14,000 THB) and claims to cover full application submission and embassy coordination. They also say there’s a money-back guarantee if the visa gets rejected.

I’m wondering if it’s smarter to go directly through them, or if it’s better to just take the course and use a more well-known visa agent like Issa Composs?

Has anyone here gone through either route? Would love to hear real experiences — success stories or warnings welcome.

DTV Workcation accepted via London Embassy.

1. Submitted application Wednesday 25th.

2. 26th - request for additional documents (I submitted a professional passport photo, they wanted one taken on my phone (weird). Alongside another letter from my employer, the first letter noted I can "work from Asia" I asked my employer to rewrite adding in specifically "Work remotely from Thailand, and will not conduct any business in Thailand"

3. Submitted additional documents Saturday 28th.

4. Status changed to pending approval Monday 30th.

5. Visa received 1st July (8:30PM)

I submitted only what they asked for. Nothing additional such as a cover letter. They didn't ask to see more than the one month bank statement I provided (albeit I would have happily supplied them).

Over the moon, I fly Friday :D

UPDATE: i left out my middle name 🤦🏼‍♀️

I reapplied for another 340$ USD

My application was canceled (incorrect personal information). obviously i entered my name correctly. i applied through ho chi minh. i’m super mad and don’t know what to do. fly to jakarta and try again? the visa fee is already so much money.

i cant download line, i have tried on my pc with google and on my iphone with apple and it says the same thing every time. it’s not available in my region (united states phone number).

my only guess is that one of the bank accounts i submitted has a different us address than the one i put on my profile, but i provided so much more proof than 500k baht. idk.

any ideas?

I’m on DTV and flying to Singapore now. In Singapore, immigration is fully automated and we don’t get stumps on passports. How would you keep the record that you visit Singapore? Anyone experienced this before? Thanks!

If my first application was cancelled for mysterious reasons, would it be wise to apply again at same embassy or different? And are the chances of rejection high if the previous application was cancelled?

What has been your experience if your application got rejected/cancelled before and you applied again?

Thanks
