TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a 1-year extension on your Non O immigrant visa in Thailand, it’s necessary to have your funds seasoned for at least two months. Health insurance is only required if you're applying under a Non OA visa; for the Non O extension, it's not mandatory. Identifying specific requirements can vary, so it's recommended to visit your local immigration office for an official list. Remember to check the timeline for when you apply and ensure all documents are in order before your visa expiration.

You don't need health cover or a medical, the rest of your requirements are immigration office specific so go and ask them

No mention of health insurance other than for Non-OA applicants and certainly no medical for STD’s which might also be a requirement of the Non-OA.

@Jason *****
have you got the correct handout for the extension of stay you want to apply for? This is the information from their website, the insurance requirement only applies to a Non-OA extension

ok yes its same form i got , so even health cover is stated on form and medical and police clearance are they not acually needed ? seems to me they will just decline me if i dont provide documents as on there list , with all the hassle of opening bank account with 11 different banks of being trurned away , i feel if i dont provide what they are asking for i will be just made to look a cunt again. However even i had all the correct documents for banks they still declined and the one that finally opened a bank account for me only asked for 3 documents which is just crazy

After your 800+K has seasoned for 2 months, then you can apply for the extension.
Ian ********
I have to go there end of January to do mine so can you post the list of requirements thanks

You only need health insurance if you entered Thailand with the 1-year non-OA visa that also required health insurance.

For a non-O extension, no health insurance is required. A medical certificate wouldn't be required for an extension with either of those.

You should go to your immigration office ahead of time and ask them for their handout of requirements, which will list everything that your specific office needs. Each office has their own requirements.

Also you should check your calendar, because January 3rd is a Saturday. You do not have to apply 45 days before your stay expires. You can apply when you have 30 days or less left at most immigration offices, and when you have 45 days or less left at some offices.

Think it’s the earliest 45 days not the last day

Pleased you got your bank account sorted .Why don’t you pop into pathum thani Io and ask ,they are usually very friendly and not that busy ,apart from the Laos workers
