TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires whether they can open a bank account in Thailand after applying for a Non-O retirement visa, which was approved shortly after their arrival in Koh Samui. There's concern about whether the bank will accept their application details without the visa activation. A comment suggests that the bank will require the Non-O entry stamp in the passport to proceed with opening the account.

The bank will want to see your non-O entry stamp in your passport.
