Hello,

DTV soft power question. Does anyone have experience or has been approved on the DTV through a language school? Ive seen alot of approvals from muay thai schools. Again Thai embassies have contradicting feedback. Your feedback would be much appreciated.

So I applied in Hanoi today as remote employee.

I showed my pay slips for 6 months back, bank account balance and transaction ls for 6 months back, letter of approval for employer, work contract.. Everything.

For some reason, the lady asked to see the ID or passport of the company owner, which was not available of course. My current employer is a multi billion dollar company and of course no one will give the person document of the owner.

I was very confused by this request, in western countries you don't hand over such personal information. I never expected them to ask for such private information which has nothing to do with my request.

She eventually accepted my documents and now waiting for the decision, but I am still confused by the request to see personal documents of the company owner, specially when it is a large company and not my own company.

Posting it for other to learn, have a nice day everyone

Update on 90 Day Reporting Online.

My reporting date was 5th October, but I gave it a try today, 3rd October, in case I got lucky. And I did 🙏.

I received an email at 9am saying that my TM47 form had been received by Immigration, and then another at 11:54 saying that it had been approved.

Thanks to Brandon Thurkettle for the tip. I may do the lottery now. 😊

Hi all. I am looking for advice about which route to take for my situation. I am an American currently in Chiang Mai on the 60 day entry visa. This is my second time in Thailand this year, first time was in April. I’ve visited Thailand and Chiang Mai many times before, always in good standing and I abide by the rules, etc. I hope to live in Chiang Mai, that is my goal. I have a conference to attend close to the end of my 60 days (just shy/before the deadline by a few days), and the conference is back in the US. I would be gone for about 5-6 days including travel and layovers. I intend to fly right back to Chiang Mai after the conference. I should be able to enter again, presumably with the 60 day arrival visa, then I could apply for the education visa or other visas, correct? Is there a better way to do this? TIA!

Applying for the Thailand DTV as a Perpetual Traveler

I'm currently in Bali, Indonesia, and I have a rented apartment in Thailand for utility bills. Originally, I'm from Germany and still hold a German passport. I run an e-commerce business in Estonia, and I would like to apply for the Thailand Digital Nomad Visa (DTV), but I'm unsure about the best approach due to the following reasons:

1. There is no Royal Thai Embassy in Indonesia.

2. What should I list as my home address? Should I use the one in Thailand?

3. I’ll be in Shenzhen, China, in one or two weeks. Would it make sense to visit the Royal Thai Embassy there and apply in person? I noticed that when selecting Shenzhen, it asks me to upload an Entry-Exit Record.

4. What’s the easiest way for me to register for the DTV right now? I’ve heard that applying in Malaysia is relatively straightforward.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If I get the DTV Visa but then get a job locally with work permit, what happens to the DTV? Is it replaced with a new visa and the work permit, and so finished? Or is it possible to get a work permit combined with the DTV? Thanks.

I am getting the DTV visa with my wife, we have a one year old, should we get our kid a visa too if we have the money and requirements. Or is it not worth getting him a visa? We plan on coming in and out of Thailand often during our 5 years.
