I am getting the DTV visa with my wife, we have a one year old, should we get our kid a visa too if we have the money and requirements. Or is it not worth getting him a visa? We plan on coming in and out of Thailand often during our 5 years.

Hello! We are getting the 6 month multi entry visa from mid-March to mid-Nov (we will do last entry/exit in Sept in our last days so we get the last 60 days to extend into Nov). We have some friends who are holidaying in Thailand in Nov/Dec so we would like to stay and all holiday together.

Do you think we would be denied entry if we leave before our METV expires and re-enter 3-7 days later? The plan would be to get the 30-day visa on arrival upon re-entry and then extend for another 30 days. We are a family of five (two adults, three young kids). I'm just not sure if there would be a reason for denial for doing the 6 month visa then re-entering after.

Our reason for travel is holidaying and making life easier for ourselves with young kids - otherwise the kids would all just be sick together at home during the winter and I'd much rather be stuck on the lovely beach/pool than inside in the cold back home. Plus it's a lot more affordable to get help with childcare.

Hi, one question. We are a family of 5 and we will hit Thailand soon after three years of Corona restrictions. We are permanently traveling and would like to know one thing: We will receive 45 days visa exempt when arriving, right? If we want to extend that it will be another 30 days added to that, right? The question is: Do only the adults have to extend (and pay for the extension) for that but not the kids or do all have to? Please only answer if you know this for sure, preferable if you have kids and gone through the process.

Hello! I am currently in Indonesia with my family. We want to go to Thailand soon and would like to have more than 30 days. As we understand we can go to Jakarta Thai embassy and get a visa for 60 days. Has somebody recent experiences with the office in Jakarta? How full it gets, how long the wait? We have a toddler with us and hope to find out more about the process. Thank you so much!

Hello I am a US passport holder traveling with my 9-year-old daughter we have one COVID extension ending October 16th I would like to fly out to Vietnam spend the day there and fly directly back to Thailand later that night to receive my 45 day stamp will I have a problem doing so any advice would be well appreciated thank you in advance this group rocks

hi, i live in thailand. thinking about going to vietnam with my son, 9 years old, next month. he has 2 vaccines, are they still checking for vaccines upon entry to thailand? when i came in from a trip about 5 weeks ago, they were. do thai citizens need to show [my son has thai/us passports] // do kids under a certain age even need proof? thanks!

We are traveling with our 2 years old baby, planning to travel and relax in thailand for 6 months. We are going to apply for the METV visa.

As we are traveling with a baby and hoping for a minimum visa hassles, does this scenario makes sense?

Enter the country, stay 2 months and extend for extra 30 days, than get out of the country via Cambodia and enter at the same day to get another 2 months, which will be extended again for 30 days? Will that work out? Is there any risk for not getting a second 30 days extension?

My wife (thai ) fully vaccinated will be flying from phnom penh fo bangkok with our unvaccinated 16 year old son .

Am I correct in all rules I have read and understood that he follows the same rules that apply to his mother who is vaccinated and does not need covid test ?
