Should I get a visa for my one-year-old child when getting the DTV visa in Thailand?

ORIGINAL POSTERI am getting the DTV visa with my wife, we have a one year old, should we get our kid a visa too if we have the money and requirements. Or is it not worth getting him a visa? We plan on coming in and out of Thailand often during our 5 years.

While technically children need a visa to be here just like grown ups keep in mind that children under 15 cannot be fined for overstay and children under 18 cannot be banned.
You aren't gonna have any issue bringing a little child in and out of thailand (as long as they hold a passport that gets them IN without needing a visa 😉 ). Nothing will happen to them, and nothing will happen to you if they overstay their free entry stamp

I personally wouldn't spend the 400USD to get a child who cannot be penalized for overstay a 5 year visa BUT that is just me 🙂 😉
