TLDR : Answer Summary
A 73-year-old individual currently residing in the Philippines seeks advice on obtaining a retirement visa from the Thai Embassy in Manila and inquires about long-term resident visa options. The conversation reveals that the Non O visa allows for a 90-day stay that can be extended in Thailand with a bank deposit of 800,000 THB, whereas the Non OA visa provides one year of residency but requires health insurance from registered providers. Alternative methods are discussed, including tourist visas manageable through agents, although concerns regarding agent reputability are raised.

Reputable Agent? Most of them bribe immigration officers.

You also can go to Thailand as a tourist, take an agent and need either an insurance nor the 800,000k.

For the Immigration you will have a VIP status, because the agent will give them an "appreciation payment". The agent will also open bank account at Bangkok Bank.

Available since many, many years. Especially in Pattaya widespread. 😁👍

Non O visa (90 days and extend in country if you have the 800k in a Thai bank) does not require insurance.

Non OA (one year from issue) gets you 365 days on entry but you need insurance and if you extend it in country you need insurance from one of the registered providers.
