Hi all not a visa related but I'll try anyway. I am leaving UK to move to Thailand soon and trying to get insurance here before coming. I have the problem that they want a return flight to give me the insurance also have an under investigation health problem. What does everyone do please ? Thanks
Edit it looks like I found an insurance company that doesn’t require return date. Big cat insurance
I’m new to the group and visited Thailand 🇹🇭 in 2022…We Fell I Love ❤️ Since our visit we’ve been determined to revisit and will be returning in May 2026! Can’t wait! My husband says he wants to retire and live in Thailand part time, as we are not settled on the idea of leaving the states because of our kids and grands. We are 59 years young and have been seriously discussing it as a strong possibility.
What are your thoughts as for as age, places to stay, opportunities and how do we get started? We want to start now so that we will be prepared to make our move in the next two years or less…
If I’m legally married to a Thai national but she wants to stay in America for her business and I want to stay in Thailand for a few months, how does the spouse visa work & would I still qualify?
Is anyone know if you can keep your company if you would stay longer than 180 days outside of Germany? Or will there be any problems with the main residence or what could happen if you stay longer abroad, like in Thailand with DTV Visa. I'd like to have a German customer with a freelancer company to live and work from Thailand as long as I can. And then repeat
I want to get a usa marriage visa, marry my fiance in Hawaii, rent my house out there, then come back here to live as home base. Returning to usa sometimes.
Is this going to be straight forward, or do I need to hire some help ?
I'm from the UK but haven't lived there for many years. I have been working abroad and travelling non stop for over ten years. I'm currently in Thailand on a tourist visa. What's the easiest way to go about applying for the DTV? I have enough in the bank and do not want to have to go back to the UK if I can avoid it.
Are there any differences in doing it from Laos or Cambodia?
A rough timeframe?
I work for an online teaching company. Is it better to state that, or to say I'm going to have Muay Thai classes (which I am, in fact)?
Applying for the Thailand DTV as a Perpetual Traveler
I'm currently in Bali, Indonesia, and I have a rented apartment in Thailand for utility bills. Originally, I'm from Germany and still hold a German passport. I run an e-commerce business in Estonia, and I would like to apply for the Thailand Digital Nomad Visa (DTV), but I'm unsure about the best approach due to the following reasons:
1. There is no Royal Thai Embassy in Indonesia.
2. What should I list as my home address? Should I use the one in Thailand?
3. I’ll be in Shenzhen, China, in one or two weeks. Would it make sense to visit the Royal Thai Embassy there and apply in person? I noticed that when selecting Shenzhen, it asks me to upload an Entry-Exit Record.
4. What’s the easiest way for me to register for the DTV right now? I’ve heard that applying in Malaysia is relatively straightforward.
Got the top point - if I leave Australia for 11 months and live in 3 different countries none of them for 6 months, and do this year after year - do I keep Australia tax residency?
