Hello, i am currently in Thailand and my passport is almost full (i still have some little space left on 2 or 3 pages, enough space for the small stamp of visa exempt entries but 0 blank pages left).
I plan to go to China and then go home from China. But my flight for China is on the same day as my last day allowed by my visa exemption in thailand, which means if i am not allowed to board in, i will have to take a flight the day after to go home, and therefore will get an overstay of 1 day.
I really want to avoid the overstay, i stay in thailand usually 6 months per year and i dont want to get more hassle in the future because of 1 day overstay.
Do you know if its possible in Bangkok to check in online and to through the immigration 1 day before the departure? And then to wait in the boarding area…?
Ps: 2 months ago i have been to China i already had 0 page left on my passport and it was ok at the immigration but the airline did not check… i dont need a visa for china and the stamp is very small, but now i really have not much space on my passport.
Applying for the Thailand DTV as a Perpetual Traveler
I'm currently in Bali, Indonesia, and I have a rented apartment in Thailand for utility bills. Originally, I'm from Germany and still hold a German passport. I run an e-commerce business in Estonia, and I would like to apply for the Thailand Digital Nomad Visa (DTV), but I'm unsure about the best approach due to the following reasons:
1. There is no Royal Thai Embassy in Indonesia.
2. What should I list as my home address? Should I use the one in Thailand?
3. I’ll be in Shenzhen, China, in one or two weeks. Would it make sense to visit the Royal Thai Embassy there and apply in person? I noticed that when selecting Shenzhen, it asks me to upload an Entry-Exit Record.
4. What’s the easiest way for me to register for the DTV right now? I’ve heard that applying in Malaysia is relatively straightforward.
Advice needed. I'm running out of blank pages(4 remaining) in my UK passport. I currently have a 60 day SETV which I will extent in Chiang Mai for another 30 days in 4 weeks time.
I then have to go to China for a few days and then I want to return to Chiang Mai on another 60 day SETV.
I've heard that I cannot get a SETV in China from a Consulate there. If this is the case then maybe I will have to fly to Laos or Hong Kong to get one.
I have a few questions that hopefully someone can me with.
1. Will I be able to get another SETV without any problem and keep leaving the country every 3 months to get more?
2. Do I have to go to the UK Consulate in BKK to apply for a new UK passport and have it posted by the Consulate to the UK for the issue of another one?
3.can I fly back to Chiang Mai from the BKK consulate without my passport? I do not have a Thai Driving in Licence.
4. Will I have to fly back to the UK Consulate in BKK to collect my new and old passport when it's been issued in the UK and posed back to BKK?
5. Could I just post my passport to my parents in the UK, get them to send it to the passport agency with the completed forms/photos etc, have the new and old one posted to them in the UK and then have them post it back to me in Chiang Mai?
6. I suppose I will have to apply for a new passport once I have obtain my second SETV and have arrived back in Chiang mai.
