Hi, I have a problem with my DTV visa, I applied for it 3 weeks ago through the website, it was sent to Ankara embassy, I am a Ukrainian citizen but now I am in Georgia but I have all the documents (like residence permit etc.) but the problem is it has been 3 weeks and the document pending status is still not completed and I am starting to worry as my flight is arriving in 2 weeks and I still don't know what to do. But the main question is, can I go to Thailand, get my visa on arrival, stay here until I get a response on my DTV visa (if I didn't get it in time before my flight) and then just re-enter Thailand with my DTV visa?

For those considering a cooking school for Thai Soft Power, how are you deciding on a school? I noticed a wide range in pricing, and Arun Thai Cooking seemed quite reasonable. Any thoughts or experiences?

Hey everyone. I'm currently in jomtien and want to extend my 60 day visa exemption by 30 days. I've done this before in bangkok by myself and it cost just 1900 baht at immigration. I got quotes of 4500 and 4900 by visa agents here to avoid queues. Then i went to immigration here and the 'yellow shirts' there quoted me 4000 to take care of it. This still seems like a lot. The reason they gave was that they need to get me a TM30 (residence form, I'm staying in a hotel) approved by immigration. Can anyone confirm this is true or am i better off just doing it myself? And do i need a tm30 and how do i get it if i do (from the hotel?)? I don't remember needing a TM30 when i did it in bangkok.

Just got denied entry from Da Nang Vietnam into Don Mueang Airport. They are making me buy a return ticket back to Vietnam.

Edit WHY I GOT DENIED: Reason I was denied entry is because they suspect im not a tourist. I have a USA passport and I do the visa exempt each time. I made 3 trips in Thailand with extensions each time. Stayed about 2-4 weeks out of Thailand each time. Couple overstays of one and two days. I had no cash and no ticket out of Thailand but I had sufficient funds in my bank account. They never checked.

I plan on coming back to Thailand asap. Any recommendations on the best way to guarantee I get a stamp next time? Now that I’m going back to Da Nang how likely is it that I can fly into CNX and get a visa exempt stamp that way? Would they decline me just based on a flag in their system/my passport?

Don’t mind paying for an agent if they are highly trusted and credible. Any recs?

Thanks in advance

I've just transferred £1000 from UK to Kasikorn, the UK charged just £5 and i sent in pound sterling, because UK always charge more when they exchange it. However Kasikorn has just creamed 3%, no biggy for £1000, but this was a trial to see speed and charges, it will kill me sending 5 or 10 million baht. So my question is, from experience, do any of you know whether different banks charge different amounts, if so which is best, and finally does the amount % get less the more you send?
