Hi everyone, I have a question about the DTV Soft Power visa.

I’m planning to apply around 18 December. The required 500k THB is in my parents’ account, not mine. If I transfer the money into my own account now, will that be a problem? Do they check how long the funds have been there, or only the balance on the application day?

I was planning to apply in Ho Chi Minh, but I can change cities if needed.

If anyone has recent experience, what should I be careful with? Any common reasons for rejection I should avoid?

For Ho Chi Minh embassy applications from Da Nang, do they require 3 months or 6 months evidence of 500,000 baht currently?

I have 2 children and I wan to apply for a follower DTV visa for them. Do I need to show 500,000 for each child as well??

My husband is applying for his dependent DTV visa - we have received conflicting information on the financial requirements and everything. The funds are in my bank account only. Do I need to show 1 million baht or 500k? I thought 1 million but now I've been told on multiple occasions 500k. We are applying from Jakarta. DTV Sponsorship letter

Can someone explain in further detail what exactly sponsorship letter I need to apply for the DTV visa? I work in sales and under 1099 contract so essentially I work for myself so not sure how a sponsorship letter applies in this scenario.

I just had my DTV (workcation) approved from Canberra, Australian Embassy.

Applied July 1st, asked for more documentation (proof of being able to work overseas) on the 4th and approval came through last night (30th of July).

A few things I've seen people ask about:

I had a sponsorship letter from my parents

I am a freelancer and wrote a letter on behalf of myself with my own company letterhead.

Does sponsorship letter work?

My dad can show the funds and make sponsorship letter, but all the visa agents I ask says I need to have the funds in my own account, and that sponsorship letter doesn't work. I am from Denmark and currently in Thailand.

So im just wondering what your experience is with sponsorship letter, if and how it works.

Just a few Questions Regarding DTV Visa

Just spent 7 months out the last 12 Months in Thailand 😍 only been back a week and missing it 😂

I will be applying from the UK

1. Does the 500,000 Baht have to be in your bank account for 3 Months and show on your statements it’s been there for 3 months or Longer? Or can you make a transfer into your account before you submit the application?

2. Is the 500,000 Baht in your bank account checked on arrival in Thailand after being approved?

3. Been seeing and hearing you have to also show that 500,000 Baht on 90 Day Check In - Re entry After 180 Days

4. If I wasn’t to have the 500,000 baht in my account how does the sponsorship letter work?

I recently got my dtv visa. Now I'm in the process of getting it for my wife and kids. I got a request for further documents. One of the documents needed is a sponsorship letter for each of my kids. What must be in that letter?

Is there a template I can use for this?
