TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about being fined for submitting their 90-day report late by 7 days. Community responses indicate that there is a grace period of 14 days prior for reporting in person, and since the user is only 7 days late, they should not incur a fine. However, fines are applicable if the report is more than 7 days overdue, with a standard fine of 2,000 baht for being 8 days late.

Could anyone tell me what this is all about? Is it related to DTV visa?

If you stay in country for 90 consecutive days you must report to immigration. A DTV visa allows you to stay for 180 days (and with extreme difficulty perhaps 360) so you need to report your presence to immigration each 90 days.

It’s called a 90 day report for a reason.

I appreciate your detailed response. Could you please tell where to report and what the process is? Also, do we need to report every time we stay in Thailand after for 90 consecutive days? And do we need to do it before 90 days or after 90 days?

you report the first time after each entry in person to the immigration office that covers the area where your TM30 is filed. Subsequent consecutive 90 day stays can be done online, but the first report after each entry is in person. Yes I said that twice. You can report in person from 14 days before till 7 days after the due date which starts 89 days from the date you entered. You can report online from 14 days before up until the due date. The ideal time to report online is from 14-7 days before, or the application will likely be rejected. You'll get 2 emails when reporting online, immediately 1 acknowledging the submitted report, and another sometime later stating if it was accepted or rejected. You must report in person anytime after the due date. The time after the due date is not a grace period that you can ignore if, for example you are flying out on day 92, it is a reporting period. You can also mail your report in, I don't know the timeline details but you can find out, which personally I would never do anyway.

You have a window of 14 days prior to 7 days after if reporting in person. You won’t get fined for 7 days. If you’re 8 days over or 8 months over the fine is 2,000 baht regardless.
