I got my DTV with a Thai farming course. It's was a 5 day course on how to milk a cow.

Cost me $4000 baht

hey brother I think you and others have read the post wrong. The person said they already live in Thailand. They will be traveling to Australia for education purposes.

I assume that means while in Australia they want to apply for the DTV for whatever reason and use it on the return to Thailand 🌞

At Phuket immigration you take the TM30. Fill in the form. Photo copy passport photo page, visa page and stamp. I can't remember if they now require a passport size photo. One time I needed the photo, the next time I didn't. You pay 300 baht. It took about 30 minutes each time I did it

@Ste****
he means has anyone got a DTV from within Australia 🦘

I wouldn't be surprised if they end up having a thing where on each entry or extension you have to show an up to date letter from the employer or if doing a cooking or boxing course an up to date enrollment for the next period. I'm just thinking I can't imagine them just letting people stay for 5 years after paying for a 3 or 6 month cooking course........ But I'm just guessing, maybe they won't care at all

in Phuket you can get a Thai driving licence with no visa. I did it last year on a 30 day visa exempt stamp. I had to get a residency certificate and a medical certificate

You would be able to pay for your boxing training upfront now, get your DTV and when you are ready to start training you can start. The boxing gyms don't care if you start now or in 6 months. It will be fine
