I am debating what way I should submit my application.

Option 1: dependant visa, my husband already got his DTV approved, we have funds in both our bank account.

Potential probelm: we are both canadians, he is polish and we have a polish marriage certificate which stated we are married in Mexico (destination wedding), it is translated and notarized in Canada, we do not have it legalized by poland officials. I consulted an agent before and they said it's required to be legalized which we won't be able to do as we are not in poland.

Option 2: soft power medical, I already have a letter from bangkok hospital for this purpose.

Potential problem: my fund in my bank account had only been in my bank since early September, would that be enough? I can provide other proof of funds in my investment accounts for more than 6 months.

Or would it work if i apply for dependent visa with a medical appointment letter and my current bank statement as supporting ? Or visa versa (apply soft power medical and attach my husband's dtv as extra supporting ? )

I am in hong kong now applying online via hong kong thai embassy (hong kong permanent resident) If that matters.

Thanks a lot for any input in advance.

Just got my DTV approved! From Canberra, Australia. Approval email just came in at 11pm. Took 4 business days total. Went through the Medical treatment route.

For financial evidence I submitted a 'Proof of Balance' letter from my bank. It wasn't a bank statement with a transaction history, it literally just says on their bank letterhead, my name, address, bank account details, and current available balance.

For medical treatment evidence I went to the Bangkok Hospital last month for my chronic condition and saw a specialist as an outpatient. I told him about my condition and he said he can treat me. I asked him to write a letter for the Visa. He wrote a letter saying my diagnosis and how I will need treatment for at least 5 years and he believes I would be best treated in Thailand instead of Australia due to my symptoms not improving as much here. They gave me an appointment slip for my next appointment on 1/11.

When I lodged the application with all this information, 3 business days later the Thai Embassy requested a proper letter of confirmation for my next appointment. I thought they missed the appointment slip so I uploaded it again. They rejected it again so I figured it wasn't enough. I called Bangkok Hospital and got them to do me an official letter of confirmation and forwarded that on. Next business day I got my approval! Surprised to see it came in at 11pm.

I input my arrival date on the visa as 1/11 even though my appointment letter of confirmation from the hospital says it's 24/11 (I changed it). So it's been approved 1 month prior to my actual next appointment.

Hope this helps anyone in the same boat!

Thinking about applying through the medical route, appreciate any help.

I need ongoing cardiology/pathology appointments and checkups for a pre-exisiting chronic genetic condition, so this could be a good option for me.

Anyone applied through this route successfully with the London embassy? I'm back in the UK atm.

Thinking about booking future appointment for my condition with a Bangkok hospital and using that, thoughts? Don't want to waste £s with an app that could get rejected. Some people said they presented treatment plans? not sure how that would work if you haven't yet had the initial consultation

Thanks for any help

Anyone got DTV using medical route? I have seen treatment plan mentioned but in my case I got diagnosed here and I have follow up appointment months down the lane after I finish my meds. So was wondering if that's enough? I don't have treatment plan because the doctor will decide what to do when I see him again.

Hi everyone, Question about healthcare and prescriptions in Thailand.

I am looking to continue my prescription and treatment with Inflectra (a Remicade like IV administered medication for Crohn's disease), but so far have not had any luck at the private hospital I've checked with.

I'm told I may be able to order it through a pharmacy or some hospitals.

Does anyone in Thailand know if this is available? Or have any recommendations on where to look? (even if it's in a neighbouring country)

What is government healthcare? I’m living in Rawai, Phuket. I’ve only been to Bangkok hospital for my girlfriend one time. It was a little more expensive than I was expecting in Thailand. Are there less expensive options? Maybe I’ll look into insurance options

Hi, I am from Bangladesh. I entered Thailand with a tourist visa of 2 month which will expire on 15 March. During my visit I had a doctor appointment at Bangkok Hospital. They suggested one operation. If I get a recommendation from hospital to extend my visa for operation, will it be possible to extend my visa?
