And what after 6 months ?
James ********
@Tommy *********
you have a 5 year multiple entry DTV visa. Enjoy your trip and stay safe for 5 years in Thailand.
Klee **************
Soft power does seem to be easier than proving you are a digital nomad or a remote worker, at least in my case when I switched categories to soft power, I was approved the next day
Monchhichi *****
@Klee *************
May I know what type of activities do you sign up for?
George ********
@Klee *************
did you have to reapply and pay the fee?
Klee **************
@George *******
no I did not have to pay two times, I paid once and they allowed me to change the category to soft power activities, the consulate in Vancouver. Canada was absolutely wonderful to deal with.
Alex *******
That's awesome news, I'm waiting for my friend's update on his application + his kids for Muay Thai DTV too. Finger crossed it's as easy as yours!

@Sarah ******

it’s a 2 x per day membership for 6 months - 48k at my gym
William ********

Sarah *******
ORIGINAL POSTER
@William *******
1 month, wasn’t an issue for me
William ********
@Sarah ******

Did you book an appointment or just turn up? The website says I don't need to book till after 25th October and the calendar says they are full till the end of the year.

So, this is what I submitted:

- letter from my Muay Thai gym saying that I was coming to practice Muay Thai, confirming the dates

- Confirmation of 6 month gym package booking

- Business registration of gym

- Gym owner’s passport copy

- Visa application form

- Colour copy of passport

- Bank statements - 6 months (only had the full amount for the last month) and last month statement (closing balance)

- Thailand Rental agreement

- Flight details

- Vietnam hotel booking

- $340 cash

- Passport size photo

They just asked for some clarification of bank statements (seems to be what they are looking for and asking about the most), but otherwise was pretty straightforward)

I had an appointment on Friday, they said by Weds. No email so I went to the embassy Weds morning and it was done. They are moving to evisa at Hanoi soon (no exactly sure of the date)

@Sarah ******
Congratulation! May I know it is compulsory to submit the school business registration certificate and the related school owner’s passport copy?
Sarah *******
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Monchhichi ****
I’m not 100% sure, this was advised by my gym but I don’t know if it was absolutely necessary or just a good to have
Tommy **********
@Sarah ******
so what you gonna do after your 6 month gym package ?
James ********
@Tommy *********
Enjoy her remaining 5 years in Thailand using her DTV multiple entry visa.
Tommy **********
@James *******
Since when does a 6 month package become a 5 year stay?
James ********
@Tommy *********
easy, the DTV visa is ISSUED for 5 years and it's multiple entry . EACH entry gives you 180 day STAMP on arrival. Can be extended one time for 180 days. Or do a simple LAND or Air or Sea border bounce to get another 180 day stamp.
Tommy **********
@James *******
so a once off payment at a Muay Thai college will suffice ?
James ********
@Tommy *********
read the recent posts about the DTV visa from licensed Muay Thai training centers. Once off payment is getting the DTV visa issued. But training participation is required ✅

@กิตติศักดิ์ *********
they asked me to clarify what the amount was in Baht (it’s in another currency). But one of my friends got questioned about how he had the money and why it hadn’t been in there for long
Leon ******
@Sarah ******
is your gym sports ministry registered for Muay Thai or just a normal gym?
Sarah *******
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Leon *****
for me it was just: 1, invitation letter 2, membership purchase receipt, 3, company registration page 4, owner passport copy
James ********
@Leon *****
from other reports, it must be registered for Muay Thai training by the Thai government. With lots of documents.
Sarah *******
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Leon *****
sorry, I’m not too sure
กิตติศักดิ์ **********
@Sarah ******
Would you mind saying what clarification they asked for on the bank statement? Thank you
Himank ********
@Sarah ******
how did you finalise a rental agreement without being in Thailand?
Sarah *******
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Himank *******
I was already in Thailand on a different visa
Dan ******
Could you please share what you booked/showed for the Muay Thai please? How many sessions did you book and what confirmation you needed?
Sarah *******
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Dan *****
just added another comment with everything I submitted. It was for 6 months at the gym
Trịnh **********
Only 6 months right? But in my knowledge Muay Thai in Student (Ed) Visa?
Sarah *******
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Trịnh *********
different to education visa, this is DTV specifically ☺️
Sarah *******
ORIGINAL POSTER
it’s a 5 year visa that gives you 180 days in Thailand at a time. You have to show that you have a certain amount of money in your bank and that prove your reason for being there (eg digital nomad or Muay Thai)
Trịnh **********
@Sarah ******
can you please share some information about your process, requirement , and how many month we can stay in TL with this?
Kannan **************
Can you share more info on Mauy thai please.

Thank you
Kieran *******
Appointment needed or not?

Can you list exactly what documents were required there?

Thanks

Ps I’m assuming Viet embassies have not gone over to evisa applications yet?
Sarah *******
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Kieran ******
yes, I had an appointment, I think they move to evisa in the next week or so. See my other comment for docs ☺️
