I have used Cigna Global (great service, hospitals like dealing with them no issues they always paid the hospital direct) but they arr more expensive. Switched to AIA and so far no problems with claims (claimed once other times hospital wad direct paid). Custoner service has been good for me, but my wife is an AIA agent so that may help. Good luck (and can DM me if you would like a quote from them)

I have been able to use the pink card as ID to open some financial fintech accounts (crypto exchange and payment system) as a Thai resident where they would not take my Thai DL for kyc. Not very common issue though.

DTV allows you to work online for clients outside of Thailand, but work for Thai based companies is not permitted and you cant volunteer in Thailand either with this visa (cant get a work permit) unfortunately

No amphur will do the translation. Take the original and a copy to a registered translation company in Bangkok where they can do the translation and certify the translatiin.

Since the relavent tax laws/regulations have not been published yet (they just made a statement that they were eliminating the loophole for $ not earned in the same year it was brought into Thailand) there is no real answer yet. Need to wait for th regulations to come. (FWIW an accountant we use is guessing this will be put off and not implemented this year since the regs are not ready yet, but again only time willbtell).

I was there 2 weeks ago and got that visa without a letter from my wife. BUT my wife was with me at the consulate dont know if that makes a difference. Didnt see anything about a letter in the online requirements as far as I recall. They did want a copy of thr Thai document for changing her name after we were married.

even if you have a visa your admission into Thailand is always at the discretion of the individual IO officer so they can refuse you entry (its the same in most if not all countries of the world)
