Technically, you don’t even BUY visa, no money is returned on visa application denial.

Would you elaborate about the story? I knew Thailand is famous for threating by police and deportation as long as (forever) money talks here, but I didn’t expect anything that disgusting would happen. You’re irreplaceable here.

A follow-up question: If the original poster got his visa extension denied (all my wishes for him to get it smoothly), what becomes the latest day he has to leave?

It would be great the immigration offices inform clearly about the conditions of stay in all and edge cases. 😕

Thanks, pretty clear! I was confused by the window to report and I though if I leave Thailand in the window, I don’t need to report. Technically, the day I am still eligible for a penalty-free report I’ll be already out. That confused me. Thanks for clarification.

Yes, as I have other things to do. That’s why I wanted to know the rules in depth.

While true and reasonable, it does not answer my question.

I get it now. The wording matters: I am supposed to report in the 13th November - 4th December window THAT I’ve been to Thailand ON 27th November. So 27th Novermber is NOT the 90 days due date, but the effective day the reporting is about. Am I right?

Thanks for the answer, but you might not get it. I know the rules, but I try to apply them to my edge sitution: The point is 1st of December falls into the 14-days-before and 7-days-after. So the range I can report myself is from 13th of November to 4th of December. I fly out 1st of December which falls into the 21 days span. I will be in Europe already at the latest possible date to report without penalty (4th of December).
