I changed my extension to visa, and officer gave me this underconsideration stamp. She told me not to come on 23rd rather to call them so i can ckeck if visa is ready. My question is what they mean if visa is ready since my extension runs out on 24th. Will I be overstaying if visa is not ready on 23rd?
TLDR : Answer Summary
When your visa extension is under consideration, it generally means that the new visa application is still being processed. If your current visa is set to expire soon, as in your case on the 24th, you won't be considered to be overstaying if the application is submitted before the expiry date, even if the new visa isn't ready by then. Your right to remain in Thailand extends as long as you have proof of your application being filed, such as the receipt or the under-consideration stamp from immigration. However, you should refrain from leaving Thailand until your application is finalized, as travel during this waiting period is not allowed.
