my bank info has MY MONEY, a credit card does not. I trust giving my card # to a hotel, but even though I believe money transfer apps such as Wise is a safe alternative, the app has access to my bank info, and that info is shared on the internet. Just my personal preference, but I don’t like using cash, and my bank info to transfer is cash, my cash.

yes, and probably why the rules keep changing. When ‘less than expected’ foreign tourist visited destinations in Thai, the rules keep getting softened. They could follow the model Florida has in the USA, just open up! Simple, get more trusted vaccine for Thai citizens, and foreign tourists coming to Thai fully vaccinated. Some Thai don’t trust China vaccine or the AstraZeneca vaccine.

in the US you can go to Triple A (AAA) and get your IDP and has multiple languages.

really? Thailand is trying to get people to come and spend money?? With so many BS restrictions, I think it’s the opposite….seems more like Thai is trying to keep tourists away.

I dumped WU last month and started using Wise.

Lockdowns in the US did not work. It destroyed the economy and peoples livelihood.
