Not sure if I can ask this question here but, how can I get a thai driving license for bike?

If I take an agent is it safe and not a dodgy license that will create problems incase of an accident and police investigation?

And where to find agents?

Not so much a Visa question. Driver license in Thailand. Does everyone that has one have two cards? Recently didn’t realize they were different and had the car one while on the bike.

Police let me go because it was a drug stop. He showed me his license.

Has anyone applied for a new driver's license on a DTV? The required forms are clear to me.

I want my scooter license, and will have to do tests as I don't have that from my home country. I question whether I will have trouble because I don't speak, read or write thai. Will I be able to do these tests? I do not want to hire an agent if I don't have to.

I am applying for a Thai driver's license for the first time. I have an American driver's license/motorcycle license and an IDP. Questions:

If I have a work permit, is it true I don't need the residency certificate?

I read I have to get my license certified by the embassy? Is this true even with an IDP?

Having an American motorcycle license and IDP, will I still have to take the written and practical tests? I've heard different answers on this. I'm guessing it depends on the office? I'll be applying on Samui.

Could someone brief me on the procedure of getting a drivers license in Bangkok? I do have a German and a Chinese one, but would like to do it here from scratch, as mine don’t contain the motorcycle license.

Going for Thai driver's license soon. Got all the documents but was curious about the process on the day of obtaining the license.

I recall seeing a post where someone commented that you could watch a video or do some kind of test (not sure anymore what exactly), to save time on that day.

Did someone recently do this and would like to share more information about this? Sorry, quite vague but cannot recall exactly what it was. :)

Heading to Bangkok early december this year with a 30 days tourist visa and want to apply for the temporary motorcycle license.

Any tips on how this procedure works, a lot of different information online and it’s quite confusing…

How and where to apply for certificate of residency? Is this even possible on a tourist visa?

Any steps that can already be done before arrival in order to speed up the process?

Better to apply in Bangkok or Chiang Mai?
