May want to check US embassy sites and people on here will give you a lot of info.

One thing I recall seeing in a similar string was - marry her IN the US. Get the tourist visa, get her to the US and marry her there and start the process.

Quite possible. Your name may match a screening list issued by another authority. That authority has no obligation to notify the embassy. Normally that match is then verified against personal ID and then released or confirmed. In addition, any transport company can have their own blacklist.
