The recent visa exempt announcement is about visa exempts. Not DTV.

Currently what you asked isnt a problem, but as you know rules can change, unofficial 'rules' can be implemented by any officer and no one can answer for definite what will happen.

Are you leaving the country during scheduled classes ? That could cause questions.

Leaving the country on a visa exempt cancels it .

If you renter you get a new one and the 60 days restart.

Anonymous participant 372 There is logic. The DTV was a comedy troll by Taksin to troll his enemies that lets the oiks they've spent years trying to keep out live here for 5 years. They are making it difficult in response.

Immigration dont want anything to do with it so the likelihood of extending in country is low. If you can you've got to prove everything again that you did to get the visa.

Its a location/ address report not a renewal.

Anyone that is in the country for 90 days has to report. So yes.

Yours has reset day 1 is October 27.

Can I apply for a DTV or Smart Visa with a new passport?

It doesnt make a difference, but you won't have to worry about getting immigration to transfer to your new passport or if they start only giving the visa to the expiry date as they do with other extensions.

Get a new one to eliminate those future problems.
