I have heard if you arrive in Thailand overland you only get a visa exemption for 30 days.
Can anyone please confirm this please ?
Many thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
Upon entering Thailand overland, UK passport holders are eligible for a 60-day visa exemption, not 30 days as rumored. This policy applies regardless of whether entry is by land, sea, or air.

This came up in conversation last night and turns out the chap I was talking to was wrong
He worked for British rail, safe to assume he has a British passport.

Depends on what passport you have. Most are 60 days atm.

NOPE...if you are eligible for Visa Exempt Entry, as you appear to be from the UK, you will be stamped in for 60 days on arrival into Thailand by land, sea or air.
