Yeah I expected that too.

Guess the field officers from my office either are a bit of a d*** or they just finished another assignment nearby and had enough time to squeeze in a house visit with me? 😅

Just add on my own experience. The immigration officers did visit my home. Best part it was last minute. "Hey we are nearby, will arrive in an hours time!". I was like WTF but thankfully my family and I wasn't out that day. 😆

I got my first Covid 60 days on the spot at Chantaburi immigration. So I guess it is dependent on which branch u go to.

I took the same route as you... Family 60 days (that ran out

)... Covid 60 days (that ran out too) and now on Marriage (1 year).

All cost Bht2K for each V so the most economical would have been Marriage V and saved me Bht4K.

Do you know if one can apply for a 2nd "60 Day Covid Unable to Travel" visa?
Mike ******
To add on; I originally wanted to apply for a 1 year marriage visa but didn't know I needed at least 2 weeks left on my current "family visit visa" to apply.

So the officer suggested I apply for this "60 day unable to return" covid visa (apologies if I get the actual visa terminology wrong) instead.

Hope I can apply for the marriage visa next year. 🤞

Chantaburi. No "under consideration" stamp. It was on the spot and the immigration officers here were very helpful.

For me it was possible. I was on a 60 Day Visit Family visa until this 25 Nov and just gotten a another 60 day extension based on "unable to return to home country due to Co-vid" until 24 Jan 2021.

The immigration office will give you a form to fill in for this 60 Day visa. There will be 4 reasons you can choose for applying (wordings not accurate): 1) Unable to return to home country due to Co-vid, 2) Embassy/consulate not issuing letters for extension of stay, 3) no flights and 4) Other reasons. Costs Bht1,900.

Best check with your local immigration office ASAP if they are issuing this visa and the required supporting documents.
