I'm getting married to my thai fiance in the US and we want to register our marriage in Thailand before we return in December. Is it possible to do this? Is there a lawyer that can help?

I plan to apply for a marriage visa when we return to Thailand in December. We plan to buy a house together.

Thanks for any help.

1) is there only one "ministry of foreign affairs" in Thailand? I've heard nightmares about getting in at Bangkok.

2) are there agents that just handle this step for marriage process?

US citizen, married to a Thai woman, but in USA only, not registered in Thailand yet. She is in USA working, I'm in Thailand.

I arrived in January, 45 days, got a 30 day extension. Land border crossing, got 45 days, got 30 day extension. I went to Lao, got my 60 day tourist Visa, got my 30 day extension, expires Sept 10.

Question: If I leave the country, go KL, Bali, Japan for 1 week vacation, apply for a 2nd tourist visa at the Embassy, is that the best course of action until my wife gets here in December and we get registered for Thai marriage and then get marriage visa?

Good morning thanks very much to the admins of this group for the great advice in letting me know the urgency of beginning the process of obtaining paperwork and marriage registration before my school contract ends next month đź‘Ť we got the ball rolling yesterday with a roadtrip to Bangkok, applied for the affirmation and certified passport copy a few weeks ago on Gov website and appointment to do oath was quick at the Embassy and have an agency doing the translations and MFA and hopefully all posted here by midweek next week đź‘Śand then onto to the local Amphur đź’Ťhopefully if we are married by then we can go to Mahasarakham immigration to start the process on Monday 20th, I'm wondering if this is a standard request for them to swap the Non-B extension to a Non-O extension a few weeks before my school contract ends(October 15th) I've heard the process can take 5 weeks for Non-O based on marriage but my visa expires on November 20th so hopefully it will be ok

Any advice for us to get prepared will be greatly appreciated 🙏🙏

A member has a question but would like to remain anonymous. I'm asking on his behalf:

"I would need to get in touch with a family lawyer who has experience with arranging marriage certificate for foreigner marrying to Thai and also on infertility service legal requirements."
