The first question on the COE is visa type... You can select visa exempt if it applies to your passport and then enter thailand with the TR60...

However, that does not make a lot of sense as getting a COE only takes a few day, and a visa is longer. So you probably doing your COE too far in advanced.

You need a new one.

For Thailand it's the time you get the results to first departure... But most people recommend considering your first international flight as that's when they check the documents.... check your airline as they might (likely) have stricter rules. For example Singapore requires 48hrs from swab time.

There are many types of PCR tests. It does not matter which one you take... It matter what the certification actually says. Best for it to say "RT-PCR" on it. Will the airline let you fly with only pcr? Yeah, maybe.. But best to be safe.

Phuket the best option, it cheaper than hotel quarantine. Likely when other areas open up it won't be quarantine free.. It will be like the sandbox with restrictions like still 2 weeks in a hotel.

You are planning too far out. I am going to becoming back to Thailand in about 2 weeks, have not even started COE or booked anything yet. Things change fast so planning in October should be done around the 1st of October.

want to stay longer before deciding, preferably 1 or 1.5 years... 5 months (especially during covid) is not much of an evaluation period. If I knew I would for at least a few years it makes sense... But comeback for 6 months and decide to move on, it's a lot money down the drain.

You have to check in with the hotel every day and they will monitor if you sleeping there. If you are missing, they call the police.

Additionally, you are tracked through the app.
