visa exempt has a limit of 2x per 6 months I believe, but not always enforced.

visa exempt is still an option and is 15 days less total at the moment. 45 plus 30 extension, but will probably go back to 30 to 30 in Sept. TR is 60 plus 30.

I believe the law limits you to 6 months a year in Thailand as a tourist, but in practice it does not seemed to be enforcement.

2 TR visas a year, no problem at all.

As a person with the STV, I don't recommend it, especially this late since you may not get your 1st renewal as it ends in Sept..if you coming in May or Jun then you would. You can do a TR 60 plus 30, which would be the same as stv after July and then you can switch to other visa type for long, stv you can't.

If you do want stv, it depends on the embassy.. Some are very picky.. The strict ones want you to book directly with hotel no refund and need to be the full 90 days. It's always dependent on the embassy, but I am going to guess it won't be likely with airbnb.

If you do TR, the airbnb fine and just need like 10 day booking would be fine.

The online system is running. It was down for a few months but is back online a few weeks ago. I just had someone file one this past week.

I don't have first hand knowledge of ICN... But I have flown more than a dozen times during pandemic and never had any on priority pass open 🤷‍♂️ even most airlines lounges are closed.

At the moment a TR visa is only 15 days more than visa exempt. You can switch with either to different visa type inside thailand. It's way easier to do exempt over TR, one less hurdle, especially if the embassy isn't close enough to go into.

I am here on the STV and do not recommend that route.

You do not do 90 day reporting on 90,60,30 day visas... You extend them and it covers the same information during the extentions.

It was only a requirement for the STV requiring you to be a resident. In general, you can apply for a tourist visa in a country you are not a resident.
