**UPDATE METV - Netherlands**

My METV was approved and only had to show 5500 euro on my bank. No questions or anything about a 6 months period. I also booked a return ticket BKK- VN in the first 60 days. No travel plan or declaration form or any question asked.

btw can you let me know how it went. How many days you take to arrange the METV before you leave? I wanna get most days out of it but not want to wait till last week.

@Jose*****
yes, Dutch embassy website says I have to include a travel plan. On the Thai visa website there is nowhere to add this, ... but I am prepared if they will ask me later and think they do.

1. no, because you didn't apply for an actual visa ever before. Exemption is not a visa.

3. on the actual visa website you don't have to include this in the required docs as far as I know. Was also looking into this last week. But later they will come back with some extra requirements if needed by mail. Had this with a SETV.

I think there is no direct bus to Vientane or Laos border from airport UD. Just cabs... But if you take transport to the center (15 - 25 min/150-200 B or maybe Grab) you have 2 options. Busstation (close to Central SM): direct bus to Vientane. Keep in mind you need a Lao visa in advance. Mini van bus station (next to Central SM): minivan to the border of Laos 55 Baht. From the border you can take a bus or taxi to Vientane.

I was on a SETV and later came back on a 30 days stamp (2x). Did it myself 3 times but it was in Udon Thani, which is the most relaxed office I have ever been. While I was on Samui 2 years ago they never mentioned TM27 and wanted to fine me, same as BKK.

Actually you can do it urself as well. If you have a contract, copy ID landlord and something called 'blue book', if I am correct? Then you can fix a TM27 (Address Reporting Form). My landlord refused to do a TM30 so this was a good solution.

I noticed that some consulates (UK/US/GER/BE) are asking for proof of an x amount for the last 6 months as stated on their website, while Dutch and Danish aren't asking this. Here they just ask for 5,5-6k Euro proof when apply...
@Lars *******
strange if they come up with something new. A bank statement with minimum balance of DKK 45,000 isn't clearly enough?
