Hi guys.

I was living in Thailand for 3 yrs on a work permit that ended late March.

I have dual nationality and left Thailand on the passport that my work permit was on.

I have returned early April on my other passport, Reason for changing passports was simply because my other one was full.

I will be leaving Thailand in the next few days to apply for my DTV.

Has anyone had any experience with changing passports etc, just worrying that it might look suspicious even though Thai immigration had no issues with it.

Hi all - I was supposed to be going to Hanoi today to submit my DTV application but delayed last minute because, thanks to the incessant rain in Bangkok, my passport got wet and the ink from one of my stamps has ran through to the next page.

I've previously been denied entry to Vietnam because my photo page was damaged...has anyone got any experienced with smudgey stamps like this?

Thanks!

I would like to go to Thailand 3 times a year, in February 28 days, in June 29 days and in November 29 days, my flight is always from Belgium to Bangkok, is this possible without a visa? Or would immigration make it difficult to come 3 times a year with a stamp on arrival?

Hi to everyone

Is there a limit on how many times a year I can enter Thailand by plane?

I had problems entering the country the last two times (December 2024 and February 2025). They said that I already had too many Thai stamps from different years in my passport. Am I violating the law here?

I fly to Taiwan on Friday and come back to Thailand 10 days later. Now I'm worried that there could be problems with immigration again. what is the legal situation?

I am traveling with a German passport. never had an overstay either. And always travel to Thailand with a return ticket.

Can't seem to post as myself for some reason. I have 2 uk passports and the one attached to my dtv is away at another consulate outside thailand getting a visa. I'm returning to Thailand in the next few days on another passport. Should I enter visa exempt or present my dtv(it's the printed pdf type) and try to explain?

Hello all,

I will be coming back to Thailand on a standard Visa Arrival Visa from America. I then plan to apply for a Non Immigrant OA visa.

My question is this, Since I am starting with a Visa arrival, is going to be a problem that I am bringing a lot of items that are what a person would be bringing to plan on moving. And no return flight. Is this going to be an issue with immigration?

I know that currently we can get a 60 day visa on arrival. Assuming that they change that back to a 30 day stamp …if I were to fly into Thailand and get the visa on arrival, extend it for 30 days….leave Thailand for a month and return to do the same thing again, do you think this would lead to a problem with immigration? The rest of the year I would be outside of Thailand exploring other countries. I would like to be in Thailand for those specific months (April May, July, August) because it’s low season.

Hi everyone, I have had some help before in the group, so I’ll try again. It’s a tricky situation, a female friend of mines has a years lease on a condo through an agent. Although she has been generally happy with the condo location she has had issues with repairs needing done etc, in short her agent is a bit awkward I think but my friend seems to give benefit of doubt. She has put up with continuous noise from people renovating rooms to which she gets no support from agent or judicial office despite them saying no building work in high season from November to march. Anyway her dilemma is her sister is going into hospital in England in December, she is going home to look after her, she was going to keep condo on and just pay rent until she could return, however it now looks like it could be 6 months or more . She told agent she will travel home, agent not interested just said make provision to pay water and electric. So other friends told her to pack her stuff , store some with friend and take rest home, after she gets home email agent and put In notice, she paid two months deposit and has paid internet up front for year. Now she has been told if she does this the agent will take her to court and tell immigration and she will not be allowed to return to Thailand. She is only 3/ 4 months into lease everything paid up to date. She is now terrified to say anything to agent before leaving in case she has trouble with immigration and cannot get home for sisters operation.. I’m not sure if the information she is getting is corrected. Does agent really have so much authority to do this, we hear others who just leave condo owing rent etc . My friend would not want anything said against her. Should she just rent for rest of contract or leave and let agent get time to relet? Any advice ? She doesn’t have time to see a lawyer and is doing long arm support with hospital, carers and social work in UK so a bit stressed

hey howz everyone doing, good i hope.

so, i’m just finishing up my first 60/30 and settling in.

i have to do my first border run .if i FLY from bangkok to siem reap and tour angkor wat again, will i be good coming in for my second 60/30??? i’m saving up for my retirement visa here and want to use my own money to avoid the agency fees. so, i know things change here, sometimes very quickly.

i’m more than a little worried as i brought a lot of luggage, way too much for a border run and too much to afford to lose. i have proof of 1 year contract and permanent government pension and over half the required savings but i’m still nervous. i keep hearing each immigration officer is different and could almost arbitrarily say no.
