Will DTV be rejected if I’ve been rejected from Thailand as a tourist before and stayed in a holding cell etc.

So I already have a 1 year lease on a condo while on my tourist visa. I am heading to Bali to Apply for DTV. What are the chances of being denied? Not let back in 🤔

Hey guys,

First off, I’m really sorry if this has been asked before. I know it probably has, but I’m a natural overthinker and I worry a lot about small things.

So here’s my situation: I’ve planned a 10-day trip to Bangkok this October (7th–17th), and then I fly out to Vietnam. The thing is, I’ve already been to Thailand twice this year – once in May for 7 days and again in August for 10 days. This will be my 3rd trip within the year, and I’m starting to worry if immigration might give me a hard time or even deny entry.

For context:

• My passport allows visa-free entry for 60 days, but the max I’ve stayed each time was only 10 days.

• I’ll have proof of funds (carrying 40–50k baht in cash), onward flight tickets to Vietnam, and all hotel bookings (already paid).

• The biggest reason I’m stressing is because my girlfriend (she’s from Greece) will be flying all the way from Athens to Bangkok the same day to meet me. We’re long-distance and this vacation means everything to us. If I get stopped or denied at immigration, it would be a huge mess since she’d arrive alone and our trip would basically be ruined.

Has anyone here traveled multiple times in a year like this? Do you think immigration will actually care, or am I just overthinking it? Any advice would seriously mean the world to me.

Thanks a ton in advance, and again, sorry for repeating a question that might’ve been asked before 🙏

Hello. everyone.

I’m currently in Hanoi to apply for the Workation DTV.

I applied for the e-Visa on Monday the 28th, but the status is still stuck on “Pending Document Check”

For your reference, our previous visa was officially canceled as of today. Could that be the reason for the delay?

The lack of progress is making me anxious — I really need to return to Thailand soon.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Hi I am a bit green at this travelling to Thailand from the UK but have seen some posts of people getting turned away at immigration because to many visits in a short time and it has me worried a bit. I came to Thailand to visit my girlfriend in May for 20 days, then i booked for to come back for 28 days in November, but then she asked me to come back in september for my birthday, i am only staying for 13 days then. My question is will i have a problem coming back in November as it will only be 6 weeks between my visits, any answers will be appreciated cheers Steve

Hi! My passport is currently valid, but expires in a little over two years. I’m applying for my dtv in about a month when I’m out of the country. Will I have issues with my dtv application since it’s a 5 year visa and my passport expires in 2?

I obviously plan to get a new passport before it expires, but not yet if I can help it. I am very low on free time.

I am the owner of an American LLC and my bank accounts are listed under the LLC. I can prove through my state's LLC records that I am the sole director of the LLC, would i have any issues that the money is not in a personal bank account?

I spent 40 days in Thailand in Nov/Dec and 59 days in March/April. I plan to go to Thailand on 1st July after spending almost 2 months in Vietnam and I have a flight booked to Malaysia on 21st July (real one, not a temporary PNR reservation)

My worries stem from being questioned by the IO last time after she saw my flight to Vietnam was after 59 days.

Is it likely that I will get denied entry or am I overthinking it? The IO didn't explicitly say to get a visa next time but she did ask if I planned to come back to Thailand.

Hi guys.

I was living in Thailand for 3 yrs on a work permit that ended late March.

I have dual nationality and left Thailand on the passport that my work permit was on.

I have returned early April on my other passport, Reason for changing passports was simply because my other one was full.

I will be leaving Thailand in the next few days to apply for my DTV.

Has anyone had any experience with changing passports etc, just worrying that it might look suspicious even though Thai immigration had no issues with it.
