Can I go to Jomtien immigration earlier than the scheduled date for my 60-day visa extension?

Hi there,

went to Jomtien immigration today to ask for a new 60 days. I got a 'under consideration' stamp and have to come back the 29th of December.

Questions:

-Can I go 1-2 days earlier?

-Is it (almost) sure I get the 60 days?

-Do I have to fill in all the papers again and bring all the same copies I brought today incl photo?

Btw. it took me around 60-70 minutes and service is nice here in Jomtien.

Thank you :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the process for obtaining a 60-day visa extension after receiving an 'under consideration' stamp at Jomtien immigration. They asked whether they could visit a couple of days earlier than their designated date, the likelihood of receiving the 60-day extension, and whether they needed to redo paperwork. Comments indicated that it's necessary to stick to the scheduled date, that approvals for similar cases have historically been granted, and that typically only the passport and payment receipt are required for the next visit.

Did they say anything to you about you holding a 90 day medical extension from Korat in your passport when you live in Pattaya?

no, actually they looked at it and looked at me but didn't ask anything. I am also staying at a hotel now and my Agoda reservation was enough.

your medical extension was a stamp from another province.

Many if not most would have you go back to that province.

Nope, you can't go early. You go on that date.

I have personally never heard of anyone who got the under consideration stamp for a 60 day unable to travel due to covid extension be denied, so I'd say you're fine.

No paperwork, just your passport and your blue/green receipt showing you paid 1900baht is all people are reporting they needed.
